Yeah it feels like it's got to be subversive somehow. Come in expecting Wick, get a little lesson on how dumb it is to have macho fantasies about beating up people. I'd dig it if done well.
yeah I would like it too but TBH the whole "it was all a dream" angle has almost never been done well
Yeah who knows. Hopefully the movie is good, and isn't just about how you should totally beat up burglars actually. Odenkirk is smart though.

Hardcore Henry had some fun and inventive action wrapped around a total non-story and an FP perspective gimmick that wears out its welcome a bit.
It'll be interesting to see how that pans out in a bigger budget movie without the gimmick.

I mean it looks well put together but this is such a retread for John Wick, hard to get pumped. I was hoping it was more about dude just snapping but ex tough guy having come out of retirement again? With the same talent as John Wick.... eh.... If we got the John Wick movies any more frequently I'd probably be burned out there. At least there is a family angle that might make it fresh but 'old man Wick' is still coming off like the terminator. Will watch at some point but hype is low.
This is my hope. Seems strange that Odenkirk would do this kind of macho fantasy role but maybe he just wants movie work and doesn't give a fuck anymore 🤷♂️

Considering I firmly believe John Wick is in the Matrix Universe, It's hard to say.
I mean yeah it's John Wick but John Wick's story sucked anyway. It's basically just going to come down entirely to whether the action is good and there's lots of it.

It's almost a carbon copy of John wick. If they tie it in with the wick universe and maybe bob shows up in later wick movies it makes sense this exists. As a standalone it kinda feels cheap.

I saw the producer, box of gold and him hunting down someone that took a "cat" and though okay why not. Could have been baller indeed.
That's totally what I thought too before I remembered it was Mr Show/Saul, that would have been amazing. I really wish they could have done the Kung Pow sequel, I thought I heard there'd been progress lately but I might just be dreaming it up
