I actually just finished a fresh watch-through of these films in anticipation of No Time to Die, and I was curious on what everyone's opinion is thus far. It's kind of insane to me that Spectre came out 5 years ago already and Skyfall is almost a decade old.
Overall, my pick would have to be Skyfall, although I think Spectre is severely underrated and is my 2nd favorite Daniel Craig Bond film. Let's vote, Era!
- Casino Royale - An obvious classic and a fantastic introduction to Craig's style of bond. His chemistry with Vesper Lynd was flawless. Le Chiffre was a top notch villain. It's dated a bit with some of it's tropes and dialogue in my opinion, but still an excellent Bond film.
- Quantum of Solace - This one's aged the worst of the bunch. Bland cinematography and the editing is headache inducing, with what seems like 30 cuts a minute during action scenes. Olga Kurylenko as Camille was forgettable and Mathieu Amalric as Greene was the weakest villain in the series.
- Skyfall - The best cinematography of the series, thanks to the spectacular Roger Deakins. Also my favorite villain with Silva, who was brillianty portrayed by Javier Bardem. Judi Dench steals the show with her final portrayal of M, and Naomi Harris, Ben Whishaw, and Ralph Fiennes were all perfect additions to the cast.
- Spectre - Excellent cinematography in this one as well, courtesy of Hoyte Van Hoytema. This one is probably the most over the top of all the Craig bonds, but damn, it hits the mark several times as well. The Día de Muertos opening and the train fight stand out. Christoph Waltz nailed it as Blofeld, Dave Bautista as Hinx made for the perfect Bond henchmen, and Lea Seydoux as Madeleine was a worthy follow up to Vesper Lynd.
