Why do people keep acting like this has literally anything to do with system updates? Companies behind streaming services can submit their apps to Nintendo whenever they want.Where's the chicken stability.gif. And seriously Nintendo, no folders, bluetooth, Netflix, crunchroll, etc. This is 2019, not 2009.
PIN Security and a way to organize my games would be swell (like, the Wii U had this functionality) so what's the hold up?Like others have said, folders/icon ordering, some different themes, and PIN security... at least give us some colors that match the current assortment of Joy-Con colors or icon background colors. And bring the Miiverse back.
I have no idea, and while it's a first world problem, my patience with the Switch's lack of basic OS features is wearing thin.PIN Security and a way to organize my games would be swell (like, the Wii U had this functionality) so what's the hold up?
Yeah, lack of Netflix and Crunchyroll support is on those companies, not Nintendo. I would like folders and themes, though, Nintendo. Why do people keep acting like this has literally anything to do with system updates? Nintendo wants the Switch OS to be as lean as possible. That's probably what's preventing themes and other basic features. That's why we don't have voice chat built in at a system level.PIN Security and a way to organize my games would be swell (like, the Wii U had this functionality) so what's the hold up?
Nintendo apologists are the worst. The OS is an empty shell compared to rival offerings and has been eclipsed by literally every console of the modern era, handheld or otherwise.Nintendo wants the Switch OS to be as lean as possible. Not gonna happen at this point.
They can't give us exciting features because they have to be different even if that means being bad.
Now this is surprising. I thought Japan didn't recognise Taiwan as a country.Added additional language support to the HOME Menu for Chinese, Korean, and Taiwanese
They're looking at it now. The tweets say everything he knows—that what's inside indicates sweeping changes (or additions) for some reason or another. Whether they'll figure out why just yet, we'll see.I'm curious about that too. That tweet seems vague - has something been datamined?
No time to crop / resize 70 iconsYou release Smash Bros with 70+ characters and instead of basing that game for icons you use Mario Party? Huh. HUUUUUH.
I never said I agreed with their bullshit. I think it's stupid. I remember reading quotes in the past about them wanting the OS to use the least amount of resources available. Am I wrong to assume that more features would require the OS to utilize more resources?Nintendo apologists are the worst. It'd be silly to make an API that already exists.
I'm not an apologist and I want features for everyone who wants them. Having less features than your previous consoles is crazy.Nintendo apologists are the worst. It's great if I didn't have to hunt for my games since I'm 100% digital. I just need some game organization and folders is probably the easiest way.I'm not an apologist and I want features for everyone who wants them. Having less features than your previous consoles is crazy.
For me personally however, the only thing I use all my consoles for is for gaming. I boot up the console, click on the game and want to play. So, for me personally again, Switch is perfect and fastest of them all.
This. How is that even possible? And how is it that WiiU and 3ds has sooooo much more functions than Switch?
LOL they forgot to translate some parts of the Korean settings.
