This was 10 years ago and is still very stupid.
iirc, the Pikachu suit started deflating which could suffocate the person inside the suit. So the technical aide (in white) ran out to help and security (in black) ran out because they just saw someone running into the performance. Once the situation was explained, the technical aide & several members of security helped guide the performer off stage to remove the suit. What made the scene surreal was the rest of the performers staying in character the entire time and completing their routine despite the emergency happening around them.
