Considering I live in NY and go there all the time lol, the second floor is literally a bunch of merchandise around the walls (mostly Zelda & Pokemon). The only place for something to be "shown" is on a few stations with the Switch hooked up for demos to played and a big screen. So I don't know why everyone's getting all amped up lol.

Yes they have. We've been through this last year. There's nothing to see here.

Any games announced or shown will be unceremoniously dropped with no advertising to keep up the Direct's secrecy.

It makes sense that they would let the public know its closed, certainly. I made it one of my visits when I came over from the UK - I'd have been annoyed if I'd made my way there to find it closed.
