The confidentiality update is close enough in the future that I think it's still getting revealed today. What would be the point of keeping it out of your September Direct just to announce something extra in the next month without a Direct? I guess one possibility is that the service's launch date, and therefore the controller's release date, is going to be up to a month from now.

Nintendo Life say the sale is now live. On my wishlist, the Civ 6 season pass and Raji are both 50% off.

I'd be very happy if Star Fox Zero came across to Switch. It deserves another chance, without the control scheme holding it back.
It would inevitably prolong the wait for a new Star Fox game though, but honestly, I question whether Star Fox will get another game without Zero showing some reasonable sales first.
Considering how well Skyward Sword has done, I'm expecting TPHD and WWHD to be separate releases, as well as separate MP1, 2 and 3 HD releases.
Even more reason for me to not join lol - I dont really care for sales discussions.

Since Mike Wikan came out laying out the technical problems of a port of trilogy, I've been saying "well, maybe they remake them in the Metroid Prime 4 engine, Half-Life:Source Style?"

Yeah, I feel like the Civ 6 pass sale has come a little late - I'm probably most of the way through one of the 2/3 Civ campaigns I'll do each year and I doubt I'd use the pass content for a while. Raji is tempting, given it's a short game, and I want to give the developers at least a little support given they also look after stray dogs, but if GB NSO games are available soon then there'll be plenty of 2 to 4 hour gaming there (I hope).

According to the Gematsu article it was recruitment for an ambitious action game, so who knows what it really is.
Monolith Soft's 'new IP' was never really corroborated by anything and I remember there being some suggestion it was just a generic hiring drive, but I wouldn't rule out something non-Xenoblade and non-Zelda from them. I believe Nate suggested they had other things in the works besides Xenoblade and Zelda, and they are like 3 times the size they used to be.
It does seem Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is wrapping up, though, so maybe that's the next game we see from them.

From my understanding, not necessarily cancelled, but that any sources that were privy have gone quiet for the last two years so 🤷♂️ Assume what you will
I think for most people Discord is a safe backup and a lot are also jumping on board with the idea, but personally speaking I'll probably split my time between here and the server a little more evenly.
I just realized that the recruitment post on Gematsu could have just been them recruiting for help on BOTW2...
