We've been pretty blessed with Quinton and Redcrayon being the two mods I remember (in)frequently interacting with this community and always in a helpful and understanding way.
Sadist when you get a chance it might be a good idea to threadmark one of the decent summaries on the current situation so people can feel a little more in the loop.

This. Part of the reason this is my favorite thread on Era is because moderation has been top notch here.
I'll reiterate this. Tomorrow should be a good day for us and it should be what brings us together, to celebrate, shitpost, despair, and bring the cycle about all over again.
I'd never ask you to stay if the way the site is run makes you uncomfortable, but I'll stick around at least for a few days while we see what happens.
Redcrayon has personally reassured me everything is OK on a couple of occasions where I unwittingly upset people. Very compassionate moderator.
Lurker for years here, just want to say thanks to the people that have engaged in healthy discussions and shared their insight. I've mostly used Era to keep in touch with the hobby, never really used discord more than to speak with my friends and am sad because I do like the forum layout, but will give it a try. The biggest lesson for those of you in the Nintendo OTs is to just fucking report the trolls and give DETAILS so that patterns are easy to establish/provide context for mods, because they don't lurk in here. Many of us do little to nothing, expecting others to do the legwork which leads to festering users.

Another discord screenshot showed another mod belittling tbe community and calling them slurs and "manbabiee." That mod engaged people in the thread about it, quit being a mod, and then the other mods are trippling down on ripping the community apart with their final message before the lock.
Seems like Dread is the only thing anyone talks about in this thread.
