I know it's anecdotal, but almost everyone I knew had the Gamebiy for Pokemon games.*creeks on my rocking chair and waves stick in the air* Listen up Children, the GameBoy was a Tertris machine and don't you forget it.
It's easy to forget for a certain generation of gamers but the GameBoy had an entire console generation before Pokémon ever released. There is a massive (and excellent) GameBoy library that folks my age played the shit out of before we got too old for Pokémon before Pokémon came out and accidentally gave the hardware new life when Nintendo was trying desperately to replace the GB.
When Nintendo talks about adding value to NSO they're talking about Switch games that have online functionality. The bonus consoles are about nostalgia and preservation. I doubt they drive initial subscriptions but they keep guys like me - 40 year olds who don't play a ton of online games because we grew up on single player experiences and can't get anyone our age to play a game at the same time because we all have kids - renewing
For me - the Mario/Wario land games, half a dozen Final Fantasy games, more puzzle games than you can ever imagine, Konami side scrollers, some pretty excellent Zeldas, Kirby. It might not hit the nostalgia button for anyone closer to 30, but you can put together a pretty killer GBC offering without ever mentioning Pokémon - more if you could get all the Harry Potter and Disney licensed games on there.

I had a very delicious beef and cheddar sub sandwich from a certain wonderful sub sandwich place FirehouseAaaaanyway, anyone have anything interesting for dinner/breakfast/lunch tonight/this morning/this afternoon?
I made some simple but tasty chicken fried rice.
I'm just gonna keep hoping that if Gameboy games come to NSO, they go all out and give us GB, GBC and GBA all in the one service.
I know, but since GBA played all 3, I'm holding onto my hope.I wouldn't expect GBA, that's a separate system and will likely have its own rollout in the future. Just like NES and SNES were separated.
Ohh Nate it genuinely rules. I love WarioWare but was a little worried about the new mechanics. The demo caused me to forget any and all worries and now it's one of my most hyped games. I cannot wait.
I still have to give it a go, but I have it downloaded and I'm excited to try it out. I've never played WarioWare before -- is it a viable demo to play and enjoy solo?
Firehouse is excellent! If their buffalo chicken sandwich game wasn't non-existent then they'd probably beat Subway. Their Italian is real good though.I had a very delicious beef and cheddar sub sandwich from a certain wonderful sub sandwich place Firehouse
(forgive me Derachi for I have sinned)
Looks like a SonyStan going by their avatar. Probably still using their "insider" information to spread rumors about Starfield Deluxe only on PS5, with Kratos/Spider Gwen DLC.So who is this NateDrake person, supposedly a GB/GBC service is coming to NSO but I don't really pay much attention to video games, are they trustworthy
Are you really trust Nintendo info from Sony character? So who is this NateDrake person, supposedly a GB/GBC service is coming to NSO but I don't really pay much attention to video games, are they trustworthy

LmaoFolks I think we should ask a trusted insider if we can trust this "NateDrake"
hey NateDrake can we trust "Nate Drake?"
So good!
The GB/C had such a long life that this sort of depends on which generation you were inI know it's anecdotal, but almost everyone I knew had the Gamebiy for Pokemon games.
Even myself, I only owned a few games apart from those.
Nah. Aonuma said there's nothing else for the 35th anniversary. When BOTW2 is pushed to early 2023 they'll bust out WWHD and TPHD as make-goodsWith SSHD out of the way, do you think we have a shot of WWHD/TPHD being in the direct?
He did, but it was more like 'we have no more planned' which we have heard so many times from Nintendo. I agree that it will probably be held onto for if BOTW2 is delayed but id love to be wrong.Nah. I think there's a chance one or both are, like, February games, so sure. With SSHD out of the way, do you think we have a shot of WWHD/TPHD being in the direct?
I know this is a shitty reaction but gb/gbc will actually be a very anti-hype announcement because it deconfirms gba anytime soon
I don't think we were ever going to get GBA before GB/GBC. The service started on NES and then went to SNES. GB/GBC happening pretty much says nothing about GBA, outside of the fact that it means at least GBA is possible.
If we didn't get GB/GBC, we wouldn't be sitting here with GBA instead.
