Well, I think putting it directly in the "mainline" would work better. As it feels more like a spin-off like title that a full title. That said, I never played the game so I can't really judge a book by its cover.

Xenoblade X2 as Monolith's next project would be really bizarre and questionable since it would require directly playing X1 to understand the plot. If it was XBX2, then XBX should have been in XBC:DE's development slot, not make X2 and then release XBX. With XBC2 at least you didn't need to know XBC1 to play 2
I think that, given how long trans rights have been in the title, it would be a bit strange to pivot to a new issue. Trans rights being in the title started because of how many trans members NintendoEra has as a community.
There's merit to including it, given how serious of a problem it's been on Era, but I think leaving the trans message out is a bit unfortunate. Given that that's the case, a broad inclusivity statement in the OP of the thread might be the best path forward. There are too many groups that have had problems on Era to highlight them all in the title.

This is why I don't think the next game will be X2, especially if a port of X is coming AFTER that. The timing just doesn't fit. I could totally see them doing, say, Xeno3, then a port of X, THEN X2. That would make more sense.

Hopefully Miitopia is only the start of 3DS games coming to Switch. Yeah yeah I know they're not new games, but 3DS titles are more likely to be lineup-filler rather than big titles that replace new games.
