no because the straw poll was done to finalize the vote. What should have happened was the closure of the existing poll and redirect to the straw poll

if it was General Discussion the Speculation people would just whine about it being General Discussion despite Speculation winning the two-option poll that a mod said to set up

keep it, people are just whining. if the shoe was on the other foot they'd all be saying "the straw poll was the real poll!" nobody had a problem with doing the straw poll until their side lost.

In the thread it's ahead, in the strawpoll it's behind, neither result can be considered completely reliable because people who voted in the thread early on might have never seen the strawpoll, and people who saw the strawpoll might have skipped the thread poll.
ultimately a decision was made. and to open that box up again puts us back in the muck.
quinton approved of the strawpoll as the final decision maker and that's what happened
leave this box closed

The strawpoll happened because at the time they were tied and when this thread opened they were not.

I didn't even see this strawpoll. The one that should be considered isnthe first one that uses the forum's engine.

I mean all of the Europeans who went to bed didn't know the straw poll existed

There'd definitely be arguments over a very silly thing but it is a bit rude to basically make it so a small selection of people decide on a thing hundreds voted on

I have no real horse in the fight but yeah
