Support for ToV from Bamco seems quite good. Maybe we will see Definitive Versions of more old Tales games on the NSW, now that seem to have cracked the code to multiplatform development ( ;-) ). Might be that they have the right tools / expertise now.

With 'The Red Strings Club' appearing in the coming soon section of the eShop, the prophecy of the indie T-SHIRTs appearing in 'Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes' has been realized.

It seems that all the games that were included will eventually have a Switch port.

And I suppose the proper Galak-Z has been announced since Travis launched.

Now just give me Hotline Miami, Superhot and Papers, Please... oh, and maybe Majora's Mask if that counts.

OH man Hard West Looks great at first blush. Runs well as far as I can tell in Handheld. Problem is, I can't find a zoom in button for handheld. But this is like Xcom/Mario Rabbids/Jagged Alliance/Fallout Tactics etc but in the Weird Wild West.

The eternal wait for Gain Ground continues. At this point I feel like we deserve a double launch with Alex Kidd in March.

Hope SamSho V Special is next week. Hyped for the Irem shooters to finally start trickling out too.

How's the difficulty
Only did the first mission and tutorial, playing on the middle difficulty, but you can fully customize the difficulty to your tastes and turn on and off different things the enemies can do etc.

Like you can turn off enemy overwatch so you don't get shot while moving.

With 'The Red Strings Club' appearing in the coming soon section of the eShop, the prophecy of the indie T-SHIRTs appearing in 'Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes' has been realized.

It seems that all the games that were included will eventually have a Switch port.
Ooh, I might actually play it on Switch.

What did everyone think of Yoku?

I bought it a while back on sale and I'm just starting it now. It's fun to play, music is great, graphics are pretty, but I'm also finding myself really uncaring about the story or world, because I'm having trouble keeping of track of who is who and what is what and where is where lol.

I'm not even sure if I've been in a certain area when I come to it, because everything looks sort of familiar. Traversal is fun, but I also find the backtracking a little much.

Can't decide if I want to complete it or not.

It's not very long. I really enjoyed it, but soon gave up trying to 100% it.

I really liked it, but it was love at first sight (meaning that if you don't feel it after an hour or two, I don't think anything will change for you, though who knows).

Need a little help guys.

Wanna buy a shmup but dont really know where to start.

Funds are limited, I can go up to £10 (little over half of Devil Trigger's price for those not in UK). Doesn't have to be noob friendly but it will certainly help.

Thunder Force IV is on sale until tomorrow, is that a good place to start?

There's certainly an excellent number of shmups to choose from on the platform. I personally found Steredenn: Binary Stars to be fun do to it's "Rouge Lite" elements. It's worth at least checking out.

What are some decent upcoming indies on Switch then? Feels like there's very little going on with the Switch until Fire Emblem in July, outside of the Resi 4 and Saints Row ports.

Danmaku unlimited 3. Really good shmup and has an easy mode that isn't a too easy. Still have a limit of continues. Steredenn is also very good, but has been 75% off in a sale before so might want to wait.

Ooh, Red Strings Club is coming to the Switch? Great! Now I can remove it from my Steam wishlist.

Knew waiting would work out.

And man, Hard West looks great but I have too many games in my backlog, most of which are RPG's.

'Baba Is You', which is not only the most important indie release in this first half of 2019.

It will probably end as the game with the higher metacritic score of 2019.

The equivalent of 'Celeste' in 2018: a game outside of the radar for a general audience, which will start to receive perfect 10 scores in the most important video game outlets.

Huh, looks interesting... any further info on why it's so good?

Reminds me I never did get around to buying Celeste, I should get on that.

I only can add to this that I recommend to not see any video of the game.

It's one of these once in a life time video game experiences. The same as playing 'Super Mario 64' or 'Breath of the Wild' for the first time.

Guys, I've been playing Steins;Gate Elite.

It's SOOOOO good! If you're at all curious about it, you should play it. I was skeptical about paying $60 for a Visual Novel, but yeah. It's worth it.

wow that's an incredibly comprehensive patch. almost enough to make me want to buy it...
I redownloaded the game last night to try out the patch. It definitely helps, but overall I realized, I'm just not into this genre anymore. I can't help but keep thinking about Into the Breach while playing Wargroove. I think ITB is just an overall better strategy puzzle experience in every way to Advance Wars and Fire Emblem. I don't know if I feel the same way about those games after ITB, it's just so much better in every way.

WOW, 'Assault Android Cactus' is available for purchase in the European eShop.

Addictive shooting games should be prohibited for a midnight release.

Good bye to my sleeping hours tonight.

Part of me is sick and tired of these kinds of games. I am getting tired of everyone's love letter to metroidvanias, can we please kill that nomenclature/sub-genre.

But then a part of me really likes the artstyle here and thinks the game looks neat and smooth in the trailer.

Either way, this Aggelos game is coming next month. I will probably wishlist it with the other 100 games that are very similar in tone, style and game play and never play it. Just not seeing enough in this Metroidvania sub-genre to really make these games differentiate themselves.

On another note, we got Mana Spark recently on sale, and it is legit Rogu-lite/like. Watching my wife play and having played a little myself, it is definitely more than worth the $4 I paid for it.

Thanks for the reply man. I watched some video of the game on my break today and got almost the same feeling. There's just not enough to the combat to make me want to try it out. Like Halcyon 6, battle looks mainly like an advanced game of rock, paper, scissors, and I just want a little more than that, even if it's an overall relaxing game.

Thanks for posting this, looks right up my alley. I searched the forum and saw Worldshaker and Ghost_Messiah enjoyed it a lot. Seems to be Wonder Boy inspired - I still need to play Monster Boy!

Maybe the jury of the IGF Awards, the most important video game prizes in the industry, should also relax a bit, giving that 'Baba is You' won the Excellence in Design award over other illustrious games such as 'Into the Breach', that appeared in all the GOTY lists.

And maybe, some illustrious video game designers as Terry Cavanagh, creator of 'Super Hexagon' or Jonathan Blow, creator of 'Braid' and 'The Witness' should also relax a bit, giving that they have been in the team of testers, helping to fine tune the final game.

Maybe Nintendo should have relaxed a bit, when impressed with the early prototype of the game, they decided to push its marketing, by including the game in a Nintendo Direct.

Maybe ERA should understand that it's fine to be hyped with a game that is not a triple-A and heavily marketed production, specially, if this game has been the GAME in all the conversations in indie circles for an entire year.

And maybe, you should also need go to one of the hundred of threads created every time that Rockstar releases a screenshot for a new game, to say to to the people, relax a bit :)

anyone care to tell me about their favorite Switch RPGs that aren't mainline Final Fantasy, Xenoblade, Disgaea, or Dragon Quest? I loved Disgaea 5, but I haven't cared for an FF game in forever. World of Final Fantasy looks somewhat interesting to me, but what I really want is an RPG with an interesting combat system, or an RPG that has the same kind of endless loop satisfaction of a game like Binding of Isaac. Not really sure whether a thing like that exists, but would love to hear from y'all just in case. Maybe there's a great action RPG out there I don't know about?

Undertale has a sublime story where every choice matters paired with a turn based bullet hell combat system. It's a must play.

This looks really interesting in that SNES/PSX RPG style. How is it?

I know this is kind of self-promotion but I promised big things in here about the quality of the Switch version of Assault Android Cactus, talking up the new content and the effort we went through to make it play amazing, and I'm feeling pretty happy right now because the world fact-checked me and found it truthful.

Ok man...enjoy the game. It's just weird to see people to go into hyperbole mode.
