yeah I almost didn't do it because 200 is so much for a memory card but I like having all my games installed and the 400gb card I had was full months ago. First world problems lol
Ah yes, The Splasher, I actually still need to finish it, some visual variety would've done that game wonders I feel, it's a solid base.
I don't know about performance but the game itself is pretty mindless and entertaining , WAY MORE so if you're able to play co op than by yourself.
I think it's like $4 , right? It's worth that for a few hours and if you don't stick with it I don't think you'll feel too bad.
Unrelated: the super Mario Maker 2 speedrun mode is VERY entertaining! I hope they keep up with this for a long time. I can see myself continuing to check in with the game everybweek for this. Nintendo should post the new level to their need channel and stuff to remind us, I'd definitely check in more often.
I too love Hollow Knight and Yoku and disliked Ori and Guac is my favorite Metroidvania after HK if only because of the combat.

I took us one full evening to make it with my girlfriend. I cannot imagine doing it solo.
On the flip side, Overcooked 2 is going to be a walk in the park for you.
I love HK (the best game of the decade) and Guacamelee (I like 2 more than 1) but I also love Ori so who knows if you'd be into it. The fight/combo system is a lot of fun.
It's rough. The soup part is easy, and the burgers are managable (although I'm probably losing more time there than I should...). The pizza and fish and chips section is simply brutal. Stuff is always on the wrong side of where I need it. I also seem to be getting much worse luck with fire break outs than the youtube videos I've seen.
Pikuniku is solid; it's got a pretty loose plot about corporate labor exploitation and some genuinely good humor (although not without its misses in that department, there's some 'swag' jokes that feel really off) and the gameplay is pretty fun and bouncy, although it never gets as weird as I hoped it would and it ends kinda quickly. A lot of wandering around small areas looking for objects and talking to people interjected with light platforming segments. I'm not sure what the sale price is on it but i enjoyed the maybe three or four hours it took to play through, probably recommendable if you like locoroco visuals and what i'd maybe describe as americanized katamari humor....lol

Well I have played octopath, DQXIS and ninokuni and those have been great. I'm interested in this game mainly because of the artstyle.
I'm considering getting Witcher 3. I've owned it on PC forever, never been able to get more than 10 hours in. I'm trying to convince myself having it on Switch will allow me more time to play it. It worked for Dragon Quest XI—owned it on PS4 forever, 25 hours over a couple months. On Switch I completed it in about a month. 95% of my playtime will be portable.

Yeah you've got all the heavy hitters. I'd recommend Cosmic Star Heroine. Great indie JRPG. Or the PS1 Final Fantasy or FFXII.

Co-signed. But then again it's a Devolver game, probably the most consistent publisher around these days. I dont think there's any Devolver game I wouldnt at the very least recommend if it's cheap enough.
The Touryst is a very cool relaxing game. The only thing to notice is that it's a very short game, at least in my opinion.
Have you played Dandara? If you like Metroidvanias and are a little bit tired of the "Normal" ones this game has got you covered.
I was in the same situation as you, never playing much on PC. I completed the game on Switch in 5 weeks (still have to go through the DLCs) and it was awesome. Not as pretty as on PC but still VERY pretty even in docked mode (I played on a 32"/1080p monitor, about 1.5 meters away). If they dropped a patch to remove the AA, it would look much closer to at least the XB1 version, judging from the various youtube videos.
I played 50% docked, and 50% handheld, and it saved me from several intercontinental flights during those 5 weeks.
If the game is on sale, I would strongly recommend it. I found the physical version for 55 euros, and it's the only game that I physically own.

Is the rebel collection on sale in the EU? My current internet connection is so bad I can barely send this message, so I doubt I'll be able to check the eshop...
I beat it.... I got to the very last dish TWICE and turned in the wrong thing. One time I turned in a sausage pizza when it was supposed to be mushroom, and the other time I'm really not sure what happened. I had never turned in a wrong dish the whole game, but there's just so much to keep track of in this stage. That was so demoralizing lol. THEN there is apparently a glitch where if you plate a hamburger on the conveyor built, it becomes impossible to interact with it. That cut out two really good runs. Finally I got it with about 1:32 to spare.
Whew. Amazing game. Glad I can chill out with the 2nd one haha.

Thief Simulator is $3.99. My daughter wants to check it out and I'm kind of interested too at that price. Is it any good? Is the port good? From what I saw the PC game is well regarded enough. It's more expensive on PC so I kind of want to test the waters with the Switch version. Thoughts?

I'm actually curious, was Final Fantasy IX ever patched on Switch as well? I remember there was some weird thing going on where...the PS4 version of FF7 had a weird music bug, where it always restarted after battle on the world map, but that same bug was fixed for FF9 on PS4. Whereas FF7 on Switch had the music bug fixed, but not FF9 lol. Was this ever universally fixed? I already got 7 and 8, and am debating if I want FF9 now too for my Switch.

Sword of DITTO looks soooo goood. It's tempting me, damn. But iiirc it wasn't well received around here, I read how it's supposedly shallow and repetitive... did the new update fix that? The game has its fans, so it's not the cut & dry as it seems...

FF7-9 have all been patched on switch to have their various audio bugs fixed.
FFXV Pocket Edition I don't think is worth it. It's probably close enough to the full story experience, but gameplay is incredibly shallow. It loses all the things people actually liked about XV.
There's some new Luminous Avenger iX DLC that's free until January 1st (and even if you don't own the game, you can still claim the DLC at no cost just in case you decide to buy the game later on at some point):
I think the in-game character designs were created at least in part by Kazuko Shibuya, who drew all the SD box/manual art and in-game party member sprite designs for the 16-bit Final Fantasy games.
If you have the option to play it in co-op do that, my enjoyment of the game increased x100 when I did that.
On another note, finally played through and beat Bloodstained ROTN. The patches made a big difference from launch, it's not a stellar port by any means but very enjoyable. Ended up with 99.70% map, level 60 and most passive shards maxed out to skills. Took just under 20 hours. I don't think I've played another game that deploys the "power fantasy" as well as Bloodstained does in a very long time. By the end you're ridiculously powerful.

I don't own a PS4 anymore so my only way to replay this is on a Switch. I have it in Steam but I only use my laptop for work.
Thans for the heads up. I still need to finish Gunvolt 2 from the Striker Pack so I'll probably wait for a sale on Luminous Avenger.
