My Switch died on me a few months back, hoping for an updated console announcement.

All I would like to see from the Nintendo E3 Direct is more of this…

Let's hope. Been more than ready since 2019.

Very excited, and I'm really glad treehouse live is returning, always appreciated their commentary and gameplay showcases.

Oh I know, I wasn't expecting it there, but it's funny they kind of acknowledge the rumor.

I feel like they've been doing that a lot over the past few years. They've been a lot clearer on what to expect to keep people's expectations in check, saying things like "games releasing in the first half of the year" or "there will be no other announcements besides the single Smash fighter" or "this will only be about Animal Crossing." They must have been sick of how every announcement of anything got people riled up.

I don't blame them, the reply section to any Nintendo tweet is the stupidest place on the planet.

I'm trying to parse the wording. Is LDK implying the direct won't have SuperSwitch games ?

No, Laura is highlighting that the Direct will be software exclusive, lending credence to all the insiders saying the Switch Pro will be announced before June 15th Direct as the software shown there will highlight the new Switch console's power.

So there's almost assuredly some Super Switch presentation before this, right? I wonder if there would be any software component to that to show some new games running on it? Like maybe do some quick first footage of Metroid Prime and Bayonetta there to keep the later software show focused entirely on 2021 stuff (minus some big announcement for later at the end)

Do note that Pokémon has been at Nintendo's E3s since 2013

2013: XY Fairy-type reveal & Roundtable
2014: ORAS gameplay reveal
2015: Dungeon
2016: SM trailer, Pokémon reveals & gameplay demo
2017: Reveal of Switch games
2018: Let's Go Poké Bal Plus Mew News
2019: SWSH Nessa, Yamper & Impidimp and community apocalypse catalyst

So I expect something here at least

Note: This is not indicative of insider knowledge

So hyped for this! I need me some Metroid Prime, Zelda and a new 3D Mario!

And for good measure a new Donkey Kong. Thanks Nintendo!
