Tansut (the guy who leaked Cloud and Hero for Smash Bros) hinted at it in October and more blatantly just last week.

Switch Rumor Archive Rebirth (Read posting rules in OP)

Would the world end with you all if someone were to directly leak something in this thread? It can wait until next year if that’s the case, and it’s not like it only would be relevant to just this console eventually anyway.

Last October was the first hint.

Oh wow I guess I just totally missed that. Thank you!

Next stop, IGN summer games thing and Gorilla indie games thing. Not sure how many announcements Switch will get, but that Amazon.fr leak makes it promising.

just watched the DF video on bioshock collection. they're very solid conversions, high res and solid fps (and based on the remastered versions with improved asset quality and visual detail). hopefully they do well enough for 2K to consider bringing more titles to the system.

really hope they manage to update and improve the outer worlds, i really don't think that was the intended product for release, must be due to the studio closing temporarily, it seem straight up broken and not just lower fidelity like other ports

Borderlands collection is also a fantastic port(s), I'm curious to see DF do those since there were also Shield ports of at least one of those (BL2).

It seems Borderlands collection took the top spots in eShop best sellers list, that's good sign.

But what else can 2K bring? Mafia 2 (maybe Mafia 1 and 3 too) is a good candidate, they could also bring The Darkness 1&2 too if they still have the license. They're based on a comic book and they might have lost the license after all the years.

the obvious candidate would be GTA5. (well, technically not by 2K but by the same parent company)

I think BL3 could make it, hopefully with better results than The Outer Worlds.

Merge Games was doing a little wink wink nudge nudge in the Switch subreddit and they have a couple announcements an announcement to make with IGN

Guerrilla Collective has a couple names I recognize that I think could bring some Switch announcements. More curious what the heck Sega is doing on that list, though, even if it's not a Switch game because let's be real here

It's rumored to be coming, I think they're looking for perfect timing to release it. It's the most important third party game after all.

The Outer Worlds port will never be a fair comprison as it runs like crap on other base consoles too. Borderlands 3 pretty much runs perfectly, I have no doubt that it could get a great port on Switch.

i think outer worlds port sucked cuz no one cared :/ like, private division has no reason to care a whole lot about that game anymore.

if they get it right i can easily see it doing 5+ million sales in a year.

Yeah, there actually seems to be more buzz around Borderlands especially, but also around Bioshock to a certain extent, than around Outer Worlds.
Even more unfortunate then they had to delay TOW due to Covid.

yeah obviously bioshock and borderlands are big IPs for take two so i'm not surprised those ports were handled much better. i don't blame virtous, they clearly can do great work when given enough time and budget which probably wasn't the case for TOW.

it's dead Jim. Rockstar will never port GTAV to Switch, at best 2K will release Mafia 2 for it

Why is dead exactly? Borderlands and Bioshock came to the system 3 years after the launch and GTA deserves a bigger install base at launch to have bigger impact. Timing of the release is important.

Man, I'm already getting tired of the 2DS XL again. Been picking it up in between XenoblaDE sessions on the Switch for quicker bursts of gaming, whereas XenoblaDE really just takes more time if you want to do a lot of the sidequests and such.

Whatever the case, aside from games that benefit greatly from the touchscreen, I wish for most games to be on the Switch already... The ergonomics, the resolution - I'm sorry, 2DS XL, I kind of like you still, but you remind me every time I pick you up of why I jumped onto the Switch train as fast as I did back in 2017.

The hardware seriously is getting in the way of my enjoyment here, which is a huge shame when looking at how much I've yet to play at all or still got to finish on the platform. There are at least 6 games waiting for me to start them for the first time, and 3 (I think) I've gotta finish (two of which are Fire Emblem of all things...)

I dig the 3DS hardware's look and feel -- especially the OG model. But I just can't even with the 2DS. I'm sure it works great for loads of people or else it never would have sold as decently as it has. But holding it just feels wrong to me, like I'm trapped in a 1994 Tiger Electronics game or something. I dunno how people do it.

PS4: 44.86GB
Xbox One: 69.96GB
