Oh yeah for sure, even if you are bad at the game like me you can still be useful to the team.
It's just you see some people do crazy things and seem untouchable and I wish I was that good.
I like ranked more than turf war though which at least is sectioned off to my sort of skill level
I think I love it so much because it makes you think fast, or you are dead. It reminds me of Doom 2016 in that regard. Also, if you go like crazy trying to kill others you are in detriment of your team.

I can't believe that after all of this waiting Nintendo is finally going to announce a general Direct in less than 15 minutes. Right? Right.........?

Joke's on everyone here, the next Direct is really obvious. The announcement is a bit different, and is actually announced ahead of time on the Nintendo America twitter the week of March 23. I actually even have the notes from the Direct:
  • Begins at 11am EST.
  • Opens with some more info on Xenoblade Definitive Edition, which launches May 29th as expected.
  • Has the classic Nintendo Direct intro video, but then:
  • Phil Spencer appears, and suddenly the colour scheme changes to green.
  • Phil acknowledges the weirdness by saying "We realize that a bunch of companies are trying out the Nintendo Direct formula to varying degrees of success, but the team at Microsoft knew we wanted to go right to the source to really learn how these are made."
  • "Nintendo Direct" disappears and is replaced with the "Inside Xbox" logo.
  • "What a great idea, Phil" says a voice. Reggie walks in to screen! "How about we do the next announcement together?"
  • Phil and Reggie do the Switch snap, which is a bit difficult for Phil because he's wearing a slightly-too-small blazer on top of a Nintendo t-shirt, but he manages.
  • A trailer starts.
  • It's Halo Master Chief Collection, coming to Switch. The rumours were true.
  • Trailer ends, and reveals that the game is being shadow-dropped today.
  • The video stream cuts to a "technical difficulties" screen suddenly, and is then replaced with a short clip from Doug Bowser explaining that the Direct will have to be rescheduled to next week due to technical issues.
  • The stream ends, and is replaced with a "Thank you for tuning in to the April 1st 2020 Nintendo Direct" message.
  • There is no Direct the next week, or the week after, and Halo Master Chief Collection doesn't ever appear on the eShop.

The Dream of February
BY JOHN HAINES

I
In the moonlight,
in the heavy snow,
I was hunting along
the sunken road
and heard behind me
the quiet step
and smothered whimper
of something following . . .

Ah, tree of panic
I climbed
to escape the night,
as the furry body glided
beneath, lynx with
steady gaze, and began
the slow ascent.

II
And dark blue foxes
climbed beside me with
famished eyes that
glowed in the shadows;

I stabbed with
a sharpened stick until
one lay across
the path with entrails
spilled, and
the others melted away.

The dead fox
moved again, his jaws
released the
sound of speech.

III
Slowly I toiled
up the rotting stairs
to the cemetery
where my mother lay buried,

to find the open grave
with the coffin
tilted beside it,
and something spilled
from the bottom—

a whiteness that flowed
on the ground
and froze into mist that
enveloped the world
the dream of the february Direct
is dead.

Nintendo need to be careful with Paper Mario, if they keep churning them out it'll just go the way of Mario & Luigi.

Just make a normal RPG like everyone in the world wants you to, or, better yet, get the team doing something else.

To be honest at this point I'd be fine with Paper Mario never coming back and them starting up a new RPG subseries called Clay Mario or something

I love Paper Mario but all I really need from it these days is a remake of 1 and port of TTYD. I'd be into them trying a whole new aesthetic with the RPG concept instead.

Can we not dream just a little bit bigger and aspire an RPG set in the F-Zero/Metroid/Mother/Starfox universes?

Fuck even Zelda would be more fun.

Yeah that'd be fantastic too. Honestly even back during the GameCube days I hoped "Paper" would become an umbrella term for a bunch of cute paper-fied Nintendo RPGs but alas.

oh god a clay looking Mario franchise would be heavenly. Early in our relationship, my wife and I went on a binge of every single claymation movie we could find (mostly Studio Laika) - I just get a bit excited when I see quality work in that style

Lol this reads like satire
Um, no.
People here on average are well versed in sales knowledge compared to other media.
Official journaling sites and publications still cite vgxhartz. Vgxhartz has been banned since gaf

Official sites and publications still apparently dont know much of Nintendo's hw and sw sales are literally open and on the internet and in quarterly briefings And you see published writings that guesstimate or make up numbers when the number is right there.

Thia isnt a (big) knock on them. The level of attention about sales is just higher here. Not seeing how this is argued against tbh...

The 2 directs for this months was probably just a random bet that made sense since we didn't have a general direct and Nintendo was pretty much going to do an AC direct. But yea, not gonna happen.

Now there is just no way it's not happening in march

It's almost time to make a separate thread because this is so abnormal. Like "it is near the end of February and we don't know Nintendo's lineup"

and we could use more than the same people discussing the same things in circles lol
