Is it possible nintendo just doesnt have much to announce right now? Either way, im super fucking bummed out
They have done one of these in-depth Smash videos for every character so far after that character has been revealed in a Direct (or TGAs). If they had a Direct coming soon (i.e. next week) they could reveal the character then and then have this in-depth video a few days later.

I guess Smash fans don't have enough communication about their already released game. Animal Crossing fans can just keep waiting. It's our lot in life.
They usually have a trailer in the Direct then air the Smash presentation afterwards. We're not getting a major direct this month.
Yeah, I prefer expansions like this being detailed outside of the Direct. Quick announcements are fine - I prefer variety when it comes to the general directs.
What? The only thing you looked forward to for the next Direct, with unown content, was Smash?
My most anticipated part of a january direct was Fighter 5 so I'm completely fine with this.

You missed the last characters presentation I guess ? Terry was like 45 minutes long.
IIRC Last time they announced the character in a ~2 min trailer during the direct and said "wait till the end of the direct to watch Sakurai explain how the character will play"
No general Nintendo Direct. Each game gets its own Direct. A new one every week for the rest of the year!

We haven't gotten a general direct in the second half of a month in OVER 5 years. General direct for February is all but confirmed at this point
