I salute their resilience, sincerelyYou can feel bad about Hi-Rez employees already. Their games, Paladins and Smite are among the most ignored "good online games" ever. Surprised that they're still alive.

Lmao nvm
So angry, I can barely write. Only good thing I can expect is a BDII demo with saves progress for the full game.Interesting that it's new branding with the "Partner Presents". That does make me think this is primarily third-party - if anything Nintendo-published features, it'll be Bravely Default 2.
And like I've said - it's the first in a series. More are coming.
Yeah we feel you Nate.Oh, I have notes jotted down on a pad already. It's not going to be a pretty discussion, but we may have a guest join us! So that'll be fun.
I knew of date and expected time. None of the content. But this type of show is blowing my mind in ways I never imagined.
Shoulda stuck with Tribes Ascend, that was some good sh*tYou can feel bad about Hi-Rez employees already. Their games, Paladins and Smite are among the most ignored "good online games" ever. Surprised that they're still alive.
meant to say 10 minutes sorry. I misread the tweet and then made a typo lol
First thing I thought when I saw the announcement. xDThis was like worse than worst case scenario for most people I bet.
This is my issue with the way things are going down, beyond me caring about what Nintendo is putting out.man, if the controversy outlives the initial shock I'll feel a little bad for anyone whose work is attached to this
people are just gonna whine and complain about it
poor bakugan, it fell to Nintendo's inconsistent marketing
Wow! What did he mean by this?
I'm having trouble parsing it. He knew of none of the content, but he still knows the show is "blowing him away"? I feel like I'm missing some info here.
Harrassment?Wait till the Direct comes out before you call it a disappointment. He could still end up right. Either way the harassment is unwarranted dude.
Probably. So honestly I think it's safe to say that we'll hit a year without a proper Direct at this point
I know some games they were "supposed to show", but plans seem have changed with that tweet. I think this "mini direct" is for not penalizing their "partners". They could go for a September general direct, obviously they don't want to change it ^^.You said the content of this Direct was going to be exciting IIRC, going by your recent posts you still stand by it and you're sure it's going to be showed today and not in another occasion since (as MisterSpo mentioned) this is the first in the series of Direct Mini and thus there may be material for several Directs that you were already informed about. Correct me if I'm wrong :P
That'll be a great September show. This will be the third party games that were supposed to be showcased at the E3 Direct. Next should be the first party games.
How is that harassment?Wait till the Direct comes out before you call it a disappointment. He could still end up right. Either way the harassment is unwarranted dude.
I'm a weirdo who doesn't like Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing or Pokemon so I've been running on scraps since October :(
Thanks, Kelios. I'll expect September then but secretly hope for AugustI know some games they were "supposed to show", but plans seem have changed with that tweet. ...I think I'm gonna call it a night. Wake me when we get a legit direct.
Please understand.BDII delayed to 2021.
NMH3 delayed to 2021.
Rogue Company.
Doom Eternal delayed to 2021.
No announcement of any following first party Direct, which means at least another two months of radio silence.
Please understand.
End of the Direct.
Based on the initial sentence, I would assume it's meant to be a jokingly negative comment about how bad this announcement is.I'm having trouble parsing it. He knew of none of the content, but he still knows the show is "blowing him away"? I feel like I'm missing some info here.
Because Nintendo has zero dated games and that's never happened before.
Nope, "already announced" are the keywords hereThis will be the third party games that were supposed to be showcased at the E3 Direct. Next should be the first party games.
I know this isn't what people wanted but this is really only affecting the hardcore fans like us. Saying Nintendo is a punchline and losing respect from all audiences is strange. yeah, this forum isn't please but I bet 90% of people who buy Nintendo games don't really care all that much. We care much more then anyone else so it's effecting our excitement.
like this is just video games. The anger is too much honestly.
What did it say? It's now deleted.
Nah. Better for people to adjust ahead of time. That's why it wasn't shadow-dropped.LMFAO
The mass confusion going on...
Real talks, would it have been better if this was shadowdropped after all?
I'm almost more amused than disappointed at this point. It's just unreal that Microsoft and Sony can put together 1 hr+ shows and Nintendo can only show a 10 minute Direct with (presumably) nothing even coming close to resembling a heavy hitter. I get that they were impacted by COVID, but their investors meeting comments and their actions just aren't lining up. This seems like much more "these games are releasing very soon and oh shit we don't have any kind of event".This will be the third party games that were supposed to be showcased at the E3 Direct. Next should be the first party games.
That is legitimately my saving grace this weekThank fucking God for the Xbox event on Thursday. I'll enjoy seeing them absolutely blow this shit out of the water.
Anyway, I guess this thread is moving crazy fast but I just want to post some calm advice and ask people to keep their perspective.
This is absolutely not in line with ours or anyone else's expectations, so Nintendo have once again blindsided people.
This does not mean they are never doing full Directs again.
This does not mean they have zero games in development or fuck all to share.
This does not give anyone the right to wail at or harass or repeatedly tag Nate and Kelios who shared what they knew to their best of their knowledge and who keep politely engaging with this community.
And, like I've said a couple of times already: today's event is just the first and a series of these Minis are planned. More news is coming and probably fairly soon.
From the Spanish tweet I understood that the already announced titles are included among the ones they'll show. Not that all the games they'll show are already announced.
