Lol at people whinning about the thread not being marked at spoiler. Its freakin listed LEAKED in the title, do you expect no information by clicking on this thread? 😂. A closed door marked DANGER on it, will you open it to see what kind of dangers await? 😂

You're talking about something that was edited accordingly. The title used to directly reference the Kirby game.

I sincerely recommend anyone interested in an unspoiled presentation for anything stay off social media or forums related to the event.

Not sure if satire or not.

This news already makes the Direct a better one than I was expecting. Hopefully we get some decent trailers for each.

3D Kirby is one of the most exciting prospects in a minute. It's hard for me to even imagine what it'd play like. I feel like the walk speed would have to be much faster to start with.

why do people want this, I don't understand it at all...

Kirby's powerset is like ENTIRELY built around sidescrolling. Once you have to account for 360 degrees of motion it's going to feel more like Balan Wonderworld. :/
Yeah I kind of agree...I want to see them try though.

People trust Nintendo to figure it out.

How do you spoil real life events? This is just a thing that exists. Not the plot, not the characters, not the intricate secrets of the game. How does the knowledge of the mere existence of something hours before it is officially supposed to be disseminated affect one's enjoyment of it?

You really think Nintendo is going to let any of their mascot games feel like Balan Wonderland??

So there is going to be a new BotW2 trailer? That's the opening from the last E3 one so I don't want to get my hopes up if that's just some old trailer there.

It's just a (partial?) list of first-party games that are coming out in 2022 (Nintendo publishes Mario+Rabbids in Japan). It doesn't necessarily mean these titles will show up in tonights Direct.

Probably worth considering that while Kirby is likely guaranteed to be there, and Bayo as well, the rest may or may not be there. It's a general release calendar, and those titles had already been announced for 2022, so what's in the OP doesn't necessitate them being in today's show.

I mean the same could be said for any 2D series that made the jump to 3D. "Mario's move set is based on side scrolling…"

I have faith the company has made the best leaps from 2D to 3D to understand how to translate another one of their beloved series.

I don't think it'll be that bad, obviously, Balan Wonderworld is a special breed of terrible. But "too many powers, all of which kind of feel the same" is a very real risk when you suddenly have to account for 360 degrees of motion. The powers are going to be way harder to make useful and fun in 3D, and that's to say nothing of how bad Kirby's flight is probably going to feel in three dimensions.

I'm interested to see how it could translate. I mean, we've never gotten a 3D Kirby game before so we don't really know how they would handle it.

It worked well for Mario Odyssey.

Kirby is the only thing in this I'd really consider a "Leak."

Those other games were probably on the release schedule already, right? I hope they show up but this doesn't confirm that.

I can't believe you'd spoil an advertisement this way!!!

Always down for more Kirby. I haven't played one in a long time, but I'm saving 'em for when I have kids. Kirby was always a gentle, accessible good time.

Honestly, kirby doesn't need to be 3d, I just want the formula shaken up a bit more than it has been for the last while.

I'd have to agree with people in this thread that I'm fearful a fully 3D Kirby - not something more acade-like such as Blowout Blast - wouldn't be as tight and refined as 2D Kirby (especially RtDL and Planet Robobot). I'd rather they just change up the style/structure of the game, but in 2D.

Ohh thats a different story then , still hilarous coming here and see that , i was like wtffff.
A lot of people reacted emotionally to be fair, and I don't think OP did a bad thing. It's not even a clear right/wrong situation. I mean it is just an advert.

But people get really excited for Directs. They're a big event, so leaks a couple of hours before do spoil them, so I think people generally appreciate tact.

OMG this is going to be amazingggggg. If they have a slate for Bayo 3 then it will be shown. Kirby looking ambitious, all great things.

It worked well for Mario Odyssey.

Mario Odyssey was also a game where you had a fairly limited core moveset that the platforming was all structured around, and the hat possessions generally only had one singular function, most of which were not combat-focused.

Kirby is at his best when all of the copy abilities are really fleshed out and all feel worth using, and I feel like that's going to be extremely difficult to balance in 3D.

Because 2D games are rarely huge sellers, especially for a series as "safe and simple" as Kirby. I am sure they want to grow the franchise and expand the appeal with a 3D jump. They aren't doing this because they ran out of ideas either, they have heard demand for it and think it could place a spotlight on a franchise that usually lacks the attention and interest most first party Nintendo games get.

WAIT WAIT WAIT, DOES THIS KIND OF CONFIRM BAYONETTA 3 SHOWING UP AT THE DIRECT?
Yes, as it links to a new Nintendo news article that has yet to be published.

Are we just going to pretend they're not closing tied to each other so much so that they relocated their offices? I don't want to get into semantics, it's not interesting.
