It looks like people who might be in the position to know stuff got the nod around yesterday evening.

Fingers crossed. Metroid Prime Trilogy would be fantastic. We haven't had a direct for so long that I'm expecting quite a lot from this one.
Nate kinda hinted at something this week but yea this is the first time in a while we dont have leaks of the direct or the games in it.
We'll probably get like 10-15 minute on pokemon snap and bravely default 2... then 10 minutes on smash maybe... don't know what the rest will be
i know they say they'll focus on first half of 2021, but i hope to get a teasing of botw 2 at the end (maybe bayonetta 3, but i reaaaaally doubt this one will be shown at all)

I have so little idea of what Nintendo is doing right now that I don't even know what realistic expectation look like. Would be happy to have a reason to power my Switch back on.

I mean, I know that at the end of the day, these are just dumb video games (is what I usually tell myself despite playing them) but... Still...

I think Nocturne HD is almost certainly a shoe-in, but V is a maybe IMO.

I would totally expect SMTV news at that, but I could see them having news in this Direct and then having a new trailer or something in that concert.
Now a 50 minute Direct can mean 1 or 2 things...

Nothing against SIlksong here - happy for the people who are excited for it if it does get more information - but even with an 'available now' drop I can't see it being the thing Nintendo closes the Direct with. Just not big enough.

- some amount of time dedicated to a special reveal for MH:R

There's a 0% chance an indie game ends a general direct imo. There's an incredibly low chance a third party game ends a direct period.
You're right, though I'm actually leaning toward the latter (while I'll be one of the few that will actually enjoy it lol)
I think it's safe to assume a new Nintendo game will be announced here, given that it's the first full-fat Nintendo Direct in a year and a half. What's the odds of a Breath of the Wild 2 release date?
