Less than Ninja I'm sure, he was paid for his name recognition. People don't know Lirik or Shroud. He wasn't even the most watched streamer playing this game back then. I wonder how much they paid Shroud and Lirik, huh.

Too bad that he will be out of commission for a while due to his scooter accident. He is great to watch and had to be the streamer who most gained with Apex Legends.Dude has like 100K subs right now...he is making a lot of money.
Think you are missing the important part of the story (13 million followers)... He isn't getting paid to play a videogame he is getting paid to show something of to a audience, same way TV stations get paid for airing commercials based on their viewer numbers.
Hahaha exactly. I'm jealous I guess.
don't ever consider going into MarketingWasted money. Game is actually good so it would have blown up just the same even if they hadn't given Ninja one million dollars to play it.
Good for him getting paid.
Era will hate him even more though lol.
Remember back when people played just for the love of the game?
I mean, you dont stream and get big if you dont love it. Shit is easily seeable from a mile awayI remember the good old days when Pac-Man was released. When games were pure and only real gamers played.
PFFT no.
Shit, remember Fata1ity?
It's always been this way, we just have streaming now to make people into household names instead of monster deals.
Celebrities all over get paid millions to just use some random products or be in commericals
This is no different.
But now he's back to Fortnite and hasn't played Apex in weeks. So while in the short term it helped, i'm not sure how it'll play out in the long-term given the current stream numbers.
Good ROI for EA. Does Ninja and other sponsored Twitchers need to disclose they are getting paid to do a specific stream though? I would expect they need to let people know it's an ad of sorts.
People still do?Remember back when people played just for the love of the game?

I understand the goal but now that this has came out then it makes sense why the stream numbers have taken a noise dive in the last few weeks and perhaps the game isn't as popular as we thought? That's not the goal of advertising. Advertising is just to get the word out there and that's what happened.
As someone who works in marketing, this is a bad take lolWasted money. Game is actually good so it would have blown up just the same even if they hadn't given Ninja one million dollars to play it.
Do you want Gamers to play your game or do you want everyone to play your game?Wasted money. Game is actually good so it would have blown up just the same even if they hadn't given Ninja one million dollars to play it.
Ninja is the biggest name on Twitch. Shroud was not on Ellen, CNN, ABC, MSNBC and so on.Shroud should have got that money. Dude is doing a lot more for the game than Ninja. 100k subs and basically only plays Apex.
