I think he's racist too, unless anyone can find me clips of Brees bringing the same energy to people who wave around the confederate flag than I might change my mind.

Brees' true feelings are what he said first. Whatever carefully crafted, bullshit apology he and his PR team came up with after calculating how much money he'd lose is bullshit. Drew Bree's is a 41 year old man who has spent the last 20 years playing football alongside predominately black teammates, playing a good chunk of that in a city with so much african-american culture and history, and developed so little empathy for the plight of african americans in that time that his first reaction to the outrage and protests over a black man being MURDERED by cops is to cape for the flag says everything you need to who he truly is as a person. I've always admired the guy because he's a great player and seemed like a really good person. What he said in the beginning of the week was really disappointing, but this is a good start.
