I guess my main reaction was that this game is actually over delivering on resolution, so I think it's odd to knock it for not being 1440p 120. They haven't promised 4K native games and they've delivered one!Nah I'm absolutely against native 4k, seeing what reconstruction can do. It's just interesting to see that the advertised difference does not work out the parameters (native 4k) are set, nothing more nothing less.
It's rendered in 6K and downsampled to 4K, resulting in better image quality and clarity.
The Touryst is also 4K
Yeah I get it, guess I'm not able to make my point :D My intention was not knock it for not b ing able to hit 1440p120, it was pure technical interest ^^I guess my main reaction was that this game is actually over delivering on resolution, so I think it's odd to knock it for not being 1440p 120. There are TVs that support 120hz but at lower resolutions for a while now.Kinda don't understand the niche that these high frame rate Series S modes are targeting. You either have a HDMI 2.1 and an X or you don't. Series S owners surely have lesser TVs.
Anyway, otherwise those are fantastic modes. I've only played Ori and the Blind Forest.

Yes I will do 6k 60 fps, as I said unfortunately my TV cant do 120 fps, I will be patiently waiting for your next project too, thanks again. It wasn't me! This is all GennadiyKorol and his Tech team. The creative departments at Moon are busy on our next project already.
Also, seeing the 6k Supersample mode in screenshots is one thing, seeing it in motion is a whole different story, please try it if you can - It's quite the experience!
HDMI 2.1 will be on lower priced TVs soon. Also, more people than you think use gaming monitors with their consoles, and most of those are 120hz/144hz.Kinda don't understand the niche that these high frame rate Series S modes are targeting. Damn awesome! Have a few games to play that I held off in and this is one of them!
Stupid question, if I anted to try the 120 mode could I set my E8 to 1080p and enjoy it on the X or is that exclusive to the S?

Its says locked at the res side. Same for the Series X. Seems that res is just dynamic.Based on the wording, it looks like there will be dips on the S in 4K. All of the other modes mention a locked frame rate.
