A new generation wakes Christmas morning to learn there is something even more disappointing to read on a box than, "batteries not included."
It's driving you nuts, right? 😂
So if Sony believe they've slipped up with their design and are concerned about the rhetoric of power disparity would they go all out for an early release and try to get the jump on MS? Is this guy talking about a manufacturing deadline for a May PS5 release? Why splash out on E3 if your console is in the wild already. Was this posted yet?
" They had to move us to new offices to continue the supply of PS5 .....!!!! deadline is May "
Something to do with coronavirus
Buying a console without a controller is like buying a car without wheels. Has no sense.
every companys' wet dream: just ship the product (Xbox/PS5) and leave the rest to the consumer to buy separately. HDMI cord, power plug + power brick in the case of the xbox, and the controller. Profit margins exploding as we speak.
Probably because Sony make TVs and none of their TVs supported it, so you would be giving the message "Don't buy a Sony Tv to compliment your PS4"
Ah ok!There's no way to know which architecture these features are associated with absent of AMD confirming them. Zen 3 has no confirmed architecture features as of yet.
Do you think there is a market for a Sony TV with all the features for gaming? Something like a TV perfect for PS5?Probably because Sony make TVs and none of their TVs supported it, so you would be giving the message "Don't buy a Sony Tv to compliment your PS4"
Some argument that DopeyFish was making a few pages back got spun into a hot mess.Where is this console without controller conversation coming from?
Wait why?? It's freaking brilliant! Ms needs some money and it's a prosumer move. Why wouldn't anyone have a xbox one pad?
2? there are 3 joke answers........why are there two joke answers in the poll and why aren't the votes public?
You would think that if they are doing a May production deadline then the console takes a few months to ship to distribution warehouses and then ships from those warehouses to retailers. Earliest your looking at is around SeptemberSo if Sony believe they've slipped up with their design and are concerned about the rhetoric of power disparity would they go all out for an early release and try to get the jump on MS? We've heard they were planning a 2019 release so perhaps they could do it.

Controllers are also very cheap to produce. We're talking under $20. They're nothing but profit margin. So leaving one out makes no sense as a cost saving measure.
To be fair, this only was a sidenote, so no rumor or request. For an unknown reason the battle started right after.
... but for some it would be the hassle of a gift that is incomplete without an accessory, and for most it would mean the console would be $30 more expensive because you need to buy one of the high margin controllers. Unless you're looking to sell two different SKUs which is a forecasting and warehousing nightmare. You're talking about changing something fundamental only to suit some fraction of the market they want to attract.
I wonder how will you play the new FIFA without a controller :(
With nuts, duh.I wonder how will you play the new FIFA without a controller :(
Oh my lord, stop this. You don't care but you are one person. Microsoft is not going to send out a XSX SKU without a damn controller, stop with this nonsense.i'm just saying i'd like to buy a series x without a controller and save me 20 bucks. i'm not concerned with retail
Thread boredom.Where is this console without controller conversation coming from?

It would be. For comparison, imagine if Nintendo hadn't included an AC adapter with one of their handhelds. That would be pretty funny.
Because the user is carrying his One generation controllers over. They are compatible, same for PS5/PS4.How is that even saving you money when you know you have to buy a controller for the system anyway?

Yes, we do.That would kill the resale value of their old system tho.
Do we know for a fact the controllers for the PS4/XBO are forward compatible?
I believe Phil confirmed for Xbox, yes. DS4 I have no idea. That would kill the resale value of their old system tho.

When you trade in a console you send a controller with it. I wouldn't say most people have 1 more controller than they need.Because the user is carrying his One generation controllers over. They are compatible, same for PS5/PS4.

I'm not arguing in favor of this controller-less SKUWhen you trade in a console you send a controller with it. I wouldn't say most people have 1 more controller than they need.
