This is how I feel about internal v external batteries on controllers.
Same. Would be clutch if devs simply did this for free like some games did for the iterative consoles. If they did make us pay, hopefully it wouldn't be more than say, 10 bucks.
Since inXile is working on a VR game does this mean XSX could support existing VR headsets?
It will be worth it for most devs. I'm certainly not buying anything without a "next gen enhanced" tag in the store once I've had a whiff of that new console smell.
With multiple Feb 5th rumours the chance for that date to be the day they tease an event was there. If it was initially planned then a 14 day hype window would lead to Feb 19 with a 9 in it like 29th at least. What about the 26th? 6 visually is the closest to 9. I never look too deep into rumours to be clear, just saying.
Did you read the entire conversation on it from the old thread?
Was there a poll for the new OT? Did we reach 20k posts? Did Transistor whack Mecha Meister and took over the OT?

For some reason you seem to think i care a lot about what this thread is or that i didn't move on already. I know I'm barely human, capable of ignoring stuff, including "fun", this kind of thread, your violent attacks against my precious "next gen speculation".

The competition to guess when a reveal event will be held? That is so, so lame. It's like watching TV for the commercials.
I could see that the xsx is supporting existing VR headsets.
There is cross play with different platforms, game pass is on different platforms, mouse and keyboard support is possible and the console should have
enough power.
Why shouldn't they allow VR hardware?
I only really see a "paid upgrade" license being a thing for physical copies of games — I think they had something similar at the beginning of this gen for a few games. I think for everything else, publishers & platform holders would probably rather have new SKUs that bundle DLCs, HQ assets, options to better take advantage of perf etc etc

They did it with Digital, too. Battlefield 4 PS3 digital had an upgrade deal for the PS4 version
My thoughts as well, needs to be things like adding ray tracing, 4K textures, upgraded loading, etc. Increasing a frame rate cap would be a bit of a slap in the face.
Would MS be able to support psvr? Similar to Nintendo they don't directly compete?

Then all options are on the table I guess. It will be interesting to see what publishers / games take what route. Cynic in me still sees GTAV or "definitive edition" type double dips as being the more likely option though. Those just feel like an easier marketing pitch than charging people for straight up upgrade.
I was talking to a friend about this earlier today. Why not partner with oculus. Win win for both companies. Oculus gets to have another platform to sell hardware and games and Xbox gets to have vr without a heavy hardware investment

yah it does work on vita but that would require them to patch the game and with there track record of only caring about pakinko machines I doubt it would happen
I think at the given time xsx support for psvr is not in the interest of sony, so sony wouldn't be interested in that.
Sony wouldn't allow them to use any drivers for that device.
But who knows, things can change, and i can even be wrong.

I rather want it for free but if i have to pay for it. Than they need to do a much better job than the standard thing.
