I'm sticking to $499 for the premium consoles. $399 for PS5DE and $350 for XSS.

Xbox Series S - £349.99
PS5 Digital - £399.99
PS5 - £449.99
Xbox Series X - £499.99

I'd be quite happy with those prices in all honesty!

XSS - £189
XSX - £379
PS5DE - £399
PS5 - £459

Can I have whatever it is that you're smoking?

My predictions. I'll go with ranges:

XBOX Series S: from 349 to 399
XBOX Series X: from 549 to 599

PS5 Digital: from 499 to 549
PS5: from 549 to 599

I do not see the 2 big consoles costing less than 549 (after all the new info from recent days)

I think Lockhart with it's lower power will allow Microsoft to go at least 100$ cheaper than the competition. So my prediction is the following:

Xbox Series S - 300
PS5 Digital - 400/450
PS5 - 500
XsX - 500

But I think purchasing the new consoles at full price won't be the only option. Microsoft is trying to expand their All Access model and imo Sonys mic drop moment will be a similar model with a monthly fee to get the PS5 Digital.

Home stretch! I'm going on the pessimistic side for now, in hopes that I'll be pleasantly surprised or at least have things land where I expect them.

Xbox Series X - $599
PS5 (disc model) - $599
PS5DE - $499-$549
Xbox Series X - $399
Xbox One S V2 - $200

XBSS - $299 or $349 (I'm not 100% decided on this yet)
PS5:DE - $399
PS5 - $499
XBSX - $499

These are MSRPs but I see MS including promotional amounts of game pass trials (maybe 1-3 months?) to try and increase value proposition without necessarily needing to directly lower costs.

Right I'll go all aggressive on the pricing. Let them fight limited edition.

XSS £249 w/3-12 months GP
XSX £449 w/3-12 months GP

PS5DE £349 w/12 months PS+
PS5 £349 or £399 w/12 months PS+

XSS: $249
XSX: $399

PS5D: $399
PS5: $449

I am assuming they are going for around the $400 mark for the consoles and the XSS is the real wild card. I think $300 is too mcuh when it qill effectively be the new xbox one s.

I believe the digital has to come in $100 cheaper than the disc version of the PS5 and the series s needs to come in at least $100 cheaper than the digital PS5.

XSS - $299
PS5 Digital - $399
PS5 Disc - $499
XSX - $499

XSS: $300
XSX: $500
(Also, Microsoft will subsidize both versions by $100 with an "Ads" version similar to Amazon's kindles.)
PS5D: $400
PS5: $450
NSPro: $350

XSS $349.99 USD (plus a year of gamepads)
XSX $599.99 USD
PS5DE and PS5 $599.99 USD

God knows what the actual UK prices will be. Post Brexit import prices could be all over the shop.

So - while that Target leak about Xbox One S V2 I believe is accurate, I also think they will be selling them prior to the Series X/S launch at that $300 RRP and the price will adjust down upon the Series S release.

So my guesses including the 1S.

Xbox One S V2 - $199
Xbox Series S - $299
PlayStation 5 Digital - $499
PlayStation 5 - $549
Xbox Series X - $549

Its possible. It looks like the XSX and XSS are to replace the Xbox One X and Xbox One S respectivley and if the XSS has no disc drive i could see a lower price just to get people onboard wih the ecosystem. It would certainly take some mindshare away from the Playstaion Brand.

This is how I see it. £229 max I think, £189 would be a very aggressive move to hoover up those tasty gamepass subs.

Xbox series a - £249
Xbox series x - £449
PS5 DE - £449
PS5 - £499

Why are there so many prediction the ps5 DE will be £100 less?
Removing a drive dies not save £100 - is there a source I have missed?
Also is what parallel universe would MS allow the X to cost more than the PS5?
That's what killed them last gen.
They won't do tha again

For me, I think so because a digital edition locks you to the PlayStation storefront, meaning they can charge what they like for first party and get a bigger cut of the revenue on everything else. Makes taking a loss upfront worth it.

My final numbers

PS5 - $549
Xbox Series X and PS5 Digital - $499
Xbox Series S - $349
Xbox One S - $149 until stock is out

There's zero chance any consoles hits $399 like some of you think and i honestly can't wait for reactions. I might even be lowballing everything by $50.

Xbox Series X - $479

PS5 Digital Edition - $450
PS5 - $550

That is a good point,

I can see the digital one being $50 as a gesturethey have said they don't want to lose money on hardware again . And they don't need to. They have better recognition and desirability and they have shown they have the games coming.

If they are a little more than the series x it will make no difference in sales

We have had like 10 of these threads.

But I say:

Xbox Series S- $349
PS5 Digital -$429
Playstation 5- $499
Xbox Series X - $499

PS5 and XSX: $499
PS5DE: $449
XSS: $249

I definitely think neither can go above 499, and they'll take a loss if they need to. It's a hard ceiling regardless of the cost of components.

I'm not sure about the PS5DE. It's only $25 lower BOM, so if they accept to take a loss on it to push more consoles, they would take a loss on both SKU and a little more on the DE. But there's an argument to be made about using it to reach a lower price point at a bigger loss, they'd lose less money overall by taking a loss on only one of them.

The XSS is in a class of it's own, it has a good reason to exist at $200 less than PS5DE. I think they'll take a bigger loss, put only 500GB of storage, and make up for the difference with proprierary storage upgrades. I'm not sure about that one either, $299 would sell well, but less dramatic and then PS5DE might quickly drop to 399 and it would become too close for comfort.

Xbox Series S - 299$
PS5 Digital Edition - 449$
PS5 and Xbox Series X - 549$

Edit: I really can't understand why people believe in such low price for PS5, but say that Xbox Series S can't be cheap, smh.

XSS 299-349 (This is really a wildcard, but I rember Albert Penello saying in an old thread that the XSS would be designed to undercut an potential 399 PS5, so it has to be lower or it doesn't make sense)
PS5DE 399
PS5 499
I don't see the need for 2 SKUs if you don't have at least 100$ difference. Sony will definitely be taking a loss. Thats very clear in their profit forecast for 2020.
XSX: 499-599
On paper XSX should be more expensive BOM-wise but MS is maybe willing to take a loss here. However if XSS is 299 I can't see then taking a loss on both boxes. Then they will price XSX higher.
