New York pizza seems to be overrated

This is my favorite/best pizza spot for me, plus it's a dive so similar to the Commodore and fried chicken(which you should also go to if you like fried chicken).

Call it what you want it's still better than new york pizza, unique only for its use of dirty ass nyc water. Your standard town house of pizza slice in New England beats new Yorks ass
Last time I went to NYC it was with my girlfriend who wanted to go to Times Square, the slice of white pizza I got from that Ray's has been on my mind ever since

I never thought NY pizza was as amazing as people claimed it was. No idea what the best places to go for it is. Didn't seem like anything special
I agree with your great food is everywhere but also on the Philly cheesesteak thing, Pat and Geno's are just the most famous. I've had better cheesesteaks from random food carts in the city.
you can get new haven style pizza in chicago, as well as amazing deep dish and thin crust. new york am kill
One of my favorite pizza places is Manco and Manco's in Ocean City, NJ. Surprisingly OC seems to be just barely included in the pizza belt.
I was drunk off my face for two months straight, most of the trip is a blurry collection of images and sensations, but I remember that pizza clear as day.
Not been to New York, but pizza isn't what I think about wanting when I do go. I want to get to one of those delis that serve the Scooby Doo looking pastrami sandwiches.
I'm all about that Detroit style pizza right now.
If you ever get a chance, check out Mike's Pizza Bar in Detroit. It's so good.

I have been introduced to Detroit style because there's like one place in my city that sells it and it's legit amazing, will agree. 😍I'm all about that Detroit style pizza right now.
You can get good pizza a lot of places these days. I'm an NYC but I will put up Regina's all day.
But f that lasagna chicago "pizza". Save it for Garfield.
Also OP hit the places the people are recommending. I dunno if I'd say UES is best to test it out. Although PRQ in the UES is interesting

I think a great slice is a great slice no matter where or what city, but NYC has the best concentration of great slices. Here in LA there's, maybe, two places that do a good slice and I'm not driving there.

We got a Jets pizza here and it changed my pizza life. I wish we had more places to try here, but Kentucky sucks.
