Not this yearSo where's that new surface book design? Been 4 years at this point...
No
A12 is also an ARM chip.

The OG surface book design from October 2015 will be 4 years ago this month.
Yeah, I got an iPad Pro 11 after selling my older Surface 3 (the precursor to the current Go) and I do miss the Surface's kickstand.I would kill for a hinge like stand case for my iPad Pro, like the one pictured with the tablet.
Now it looks as if Microsoft is cognizant of this performance gap. The company's been busy testing prototypes of the Surface Go 2, with the Pentium Gold and a new processor. The new processor is the Intel Core M3-8100Y, and by the looks of it, it's set to give the Surface Go 2 a much needed performance boost.
I'm with you, just want the surface laptop with a minimally powerful discrete GPU.I'd buy that 15 laptop if they pack the power of the Book in it. I need the Pro Level device but really don't need the detachable screen, it introduces way more hardware failure points than it's worth.
How does it handle video streaming and multiple applications open at the same time?
Wouldn't this be the go 2? Or am I mistaken.
Cuz thinner and all black?Ugh, why does the ARM Surface Pro look so much better than the Intel based Pro?
I don't think so, these seem like they're replacements for the surface 6, surface laptop, and the surface book maybe (that ARM think might be entirely new)? None of them really seem like they're a replacement for the Surface Go, especially in size.

There is no Book 3 this year.If this leaked but the book didn't...does that mean no book. :( That's what I'm interested in right now...
i think it's basically always on and always connected (if you have a sim card). otherwise the problem right now is that the emulation of windows on arm isn't as good as straight windows. For something running Windows, what's the benefit of ARM over an Intel CPU?
