Cavill is technically a better actor but he always seemed constipated in the Superman role and he has no charisma.

Oh man, I completely forgot about that line. Of course, these show drop little winks like that to the audience all the time, so I usually don't think to hard about them. (Remember we saw a flight jacket with the last name Jordan on it in like season 2 of Arrow or something.) But yeah, I agree with you.
x1000 yes. Routh was made to play Superman, especially playing an actor who can do both Supes and Clark. He was a perfect natural successor to Reeves; it's just such a shame he was in that terrible movie.

I mean he IS muscular and strong but I don't remember a single comic where he is more muscular than any other male super hero in the same comic. He is always drawn as bulky as batman =P
He has muscles, he is not bulky to the point of calling attention to his muscles.
Yeah, dude is huge but it never really looks that way because of his longer frame. He has more of a swimmer's frame which kind of hides just how built he is.
