Havent played RE7 but Mia actually looks pretty here.
I actually like the face model they used for RE7, I get why they don't show it tho for immersion sake.

Ethan is such a weird protagonist. RE thrives of all those super memorable Cast members and then you have Ethan muterfucking Winters who gets to be protagonist 2 Mainline Games in a row.
They don't even show his face in these renders, i wonder if part of Ethans blandness stems from Capcom being in such a dire state in the mid 2010s, that they weren't sure if people would like the old RE Guys anymore but they had to make a Game that is sucessfull.

Mia's looking cozy as hell. But I really hope they haven't completely removed the ruthless and calculating side of her character.
I honestly don't understand why they don't show it. I'm not further immersed because I'm not shown Ethan's face. I know I'm playing a character in this universe, not me. Especially if I was a different race or gender, what would only hiding the face do? They could show it in a mirror, but the games don't have third person cutscenes so without a mirror you'd ever see his face anyway.

Not wanting to show Ethan's face is a great excuse for not having reflective surfaces in the game, therefore sidestepping the challenge of raytracing reflections. Genius move.
