Hmm was thinking this was a remake/remaster. Definitely don't want to play this on PS4 without playing the original... whats the best way to do that without a DS/3DS?
One of the clips shows a combo(one character hits the enemy after another makes the CHANCE appear) and the synch increases by 5%. It's probably a set up for stuns/launches/etc (in this case, the chained noise is put on fire by another character). I am thinking that it might be a turn based system, honestlyA bit of gameplay speculation. I noticed this "Chance" meter, and have a guess on how it works. I think it's where one of the three people hits the enemy and then in the time slice, the others have to follow up, presumably to boost sync rate maybe? This might be a neat alternative to the light puck, and more interesting that Cross Combo IMO, if I'm right about this.
He didn't even direct the original game.I'm not worried about combat cause Nomura basically always gets that right.
You could play the phone version but its not ideal. I highly suggest getting a used DS for cheap online and playing it. The original version is worth itHmm was thinking this was a remake/remaster. A good chunk of twitter just realized Shibuya is a real place today/si was wondering which thread was the source of "shibuya is a real place" tweets i saw lol
I moved houses, cities and countries but I always keep this one around, release day copy.
Ah I see, didn't realize it had a newer port. Well maybe they will bring that to PS4 as well, would be kind of dumb of them not to
I mean you said it, you're basically arguing with yourself at this point. It is not at all similar in texture quality to a PS2 game, that's the statement you made that I was addressing."literally looks like a ps2 game" != "textures out of a ps2 game".
The visuals are way more than just textures: models, resolution, shading, post processing fx,...
But yeah, my wording could be interpreted as "it looks like ps2". And obviously not all textures. But some of the textures just look unclean.
To be clear once again:the style its going for is good, and it does not literally look like a ps2 game.
Its just that with such a shaded style, stuff like textures with text kinda have to be sharp for the contrast, to give the style some corners to flow around kinda.
Switch or the mobile phone ports are your only options. If DS/3DS is really out of the question (I cant stress enough how important dual screens are for getting the full experience), the Switch port is your best bet. The Switch version also has new postgame content directly setting up this game as well.Hmm was thinking this was a remake/remaster. Switch version is fine imo. DS is best but Switch one is good enough. Is the first game any good on any platform other than the DS? I think I've heard the controls don't work anywhere else, but also imagine an original copy costing more than I'd be willing to pay.
The DS version is actually really cheap these days. You could get a copy in the box for half the price of the Switch version these days.Is the first game any good on any platform other than the DS? That is so cool! After playing Digimon cyber sluth and persona 3, I really like the aesthetic of jrpg in modern day city.
So many people on Twitter are calling it Persona rip-off/discount lol...
@ square enix license rina sawayama's tokyo takeover as one of the songs you cowards
