NBC/WSJ poll: Biden leads Dem 2020 field, Warren's support grows

I really want Warren to get it. Obviously for her strong progressive platform, but I do believe that Trump's tactics won't be as effective on Warren as they were with Clinton. People on both sides of the aisle wanted her to be "taken down a peg" and folks silently reveled in his childish cheap shots at the debates. With Warren, he's just going to look like a bully and it'll definitely be more off putting to the undecided. With that, I also believe they might be more receptive to what she has to say.
Wishful thinking I admit, but all I have is hope at this point. The answer to Trump isn't to match his bravado and talk loud while saying nothing. Elizabeth Warren's sincerity will pierce through the fog of apathy, I want to believe.

Warren is like a sleeper candidate that holds basically 80 percent of Bernie's promises but with like none of his negativity.

Not feeling people calling for Biden + tickets. Biden needs to drop out but I don't think he will. I'd personally love Bernie but I would also be fine with Warren. As much as I'd love it to be Bernie, I just don't think it's going to happen. Still a lot of time left and a lot of shuffling to happen

Not nearly as well, Warren pulls from a larger pool of Democrats than Bernie, but most of Bernie's base would gravitate to Warren.

I think lots of Americans don't see much of Warren past her DNA test/native American stuff, which has made her kind of a joke to a lot of people, whether it's with merit or not.
I don't think she would perform that well in debates against Trump.

As far as anyone else faring better, the RCP average of head-to-head polling between the various candidates and Trump has Sander at +7, Warren at +5.2 and Biden at +11.5.
Not only will they not work, I kind of feel like they'll be a lightning rod. Trump can't help himself. He'll go to that well every fucking time. And unlike emails it just doesn't sound like a real scandal and will get old real fast comparatively. Every minute he spends on Pocahontas is a minute he's not making a real attack.
It's still wayyyyyyyyyy too far out from the actual voting but this kind of stuff is fun especially to see the sheepish backing away from Kamala from people who treated her as the next savior.

The electorate favored her by several million votes. Warren doesn't have decades of smears piled on top of her either.

Hillary didn't campaign hard enough where she needed to and didn't sell a convincing message to those in key states. It was an incredibly close election but Trump got the best of her where it mattered, so hopefully whoever the nominee is will avoid making those mistakes.
You can't compare the concentrated efforts over decades to minimize and destroy Hillary Clinton to attacks on any other contemporary politician with any seriousness imo.
Warren will lose primaries narrowly due to lack of Black support and pulled back by Bernie's refusal to drop out. Biden will choose a middle of the road Vice President. Enthusiasm will be shit again as media goes in circles around Biden. Repeat 2016, Trump wins electoral college.
