Rubio, Russell, Edwards, and KAT is damn good foundation. Minnesota needs an athletic big to round out the lineup.

Future Outlook:

  • Rotation player with starter upside if he reaches his high-end outcome and is in the right system
Outcomes:

  • High: Starter who can play on the ball and create for himself and others out of the PnR or play off the ball and spot up / run off screens. Added strength helps him become a positive defender, even while being a smaller guard.
  • Medium: Solid back-up guard who can run a PnR heavy offense. He will make the right decisions and can shoot off-the-dribble if the defense is giving it to him. Able to hold his own defensively because of his hustle and IQ, but not a positive or impactful defender because of his lack of strength and below-average wingspan.
  • Low: Fringe rotation player who can't create for himself consistently enough. His shotmaking (although inconsistent) and good passing allow him to get spot minutes here and there, but he can't be trusted in high leverage situations because of his size on defense.
Offensive Role: Primary ballhandler in a pick and roll heavy offense who can shoot off-the-dribble and create for others. Ability to knock down spot up and off-movement shots allow him to play next to another ballhandler at times, which gives lineup flexibility.

Defensive Role: Limited defensive versatility due to lack of length and strength, but can keep players (excluding elite guards) in front of him by sliding his feet and can chase movement shooters around screens on the perimeter.

Healthy Curry, Dray and decent Wiggins with Paschall and Wiseman should make it to the playoffs. Now I'm just paranoid about additional injuries. We have no bench besides Paschall. We can try to get Avery with a MLE, but I see the Lakers keeping him. I wonder if the Warriors will try to trade next year's Wolves pick for a decent player.
It's essentially last years roster. This is now an reboot. They need to hold on to that pick from Minnesota and get younger. If Klay has torn his Achilles as feared, he will never be the same player ever again.

Of course the smart teams takes Flynn and Bane after the others passed on them for some reason.

Dude, Desmond Bane was raised by his great grandparents and his great granddad died from Coronavirus?

No idea what the Pacers are doing. I guess if you want to draft a player nobody has ever heard of, better draft them in the second round.

The Grizzlies are a funny team because they always end up taking the best player available on draft twitter board.

Why put his brother's suicide out there like that? Damn ESPN knows how to lack tact when it's draft time.
