It's not a reboot though
They could still do another animated tie-in and call it Re:Animatrix.
Fixed that for you.

This film is called Resurrection tho. Most people forget that the Wachowki's were really into cross medium story telling way before anyone else was like with the MCU. Some people kind of remember this with the Animatrix and Enter the Matrix the anime shorts that took place before Matrix Reloaded and Enter the Matrix taking place around Reloaded and leading into Revolutions.
Then the Matrix online happened and eventually ended. Guess who dies during that?

Makes sense to call it Resurrection as we don't know the full story, except that Neo is Resurrected again. Reinstalled may give the wrong impression (or could be a spoiler?? Who knows).
Same lol, tho I missed the s in resurrections.I clicked on the thread thinking "I bet it's called Matrix Resurrection".
Cue me laughing out loud reading the title
Nah no falling out, Lily just wants to do her own thing, stepping back from filmmaking, and gave 100% support to Lana going at the Matrix 4.Oh yeah, it's only her. I think she had a falling out with her sister... I do hope she nails it... Their last movies haven't been exactly successes...

A very unsubstantiated thing I heard was that Lana was the powerhouse of the directing duo. Nothing to back this up except something some dude on another site said, and I don't want to diminish Lily's contribution neither.
Ruh roh.Lawrence Fishburn and Agent Smith (Hugo Weaving) are both not gonna be in it, Smith's part is pretty weird he was originally cast in it and agreed to play the part but Lana apparently cut him out before production started because she was concerned that he wouldn't be available enough due to his theater committments. I hope the movie is good or at least better than the last two, but all the little signs point to a trainwreck.
Why does it say "Wir lieben Euch!", meaning "We love you [plural]!" in German?
That's the title of the social media shorts that will market it.
When you have to do the shitty side quests for 100% completion.
This movie deserves better than Hugo Weaving's acting in Revolutions.
I don't think The Matrix movies are for you, then. This movie deserves better than Hugo Weaving's acting in Revolutions.
I had no attachment to Xion, got Uber tired of Weaving Hamming it up.
Also the Heavy Christianity symbolism. Enough.
The first two were fine. Revolutions was garbage tier.
I meant more that it's worrisome they wrote a role for Smith and then cut it last minute. This movie deserves better than Hugo Weaving's acting in Revolutions.

This here. The stuff with Ghost and Jada Pinkett from Enter the Matrix not being covered in the movies at all, hurts those products more than helps them, much like the opening of Age of Ultron being a tie-in to Agents of fucking Shield.

Out of the cast members of the original trilogy, he's the last one who should have been attached to it. Yes I agree.I meant more that it's worrisome they wrote a role for Smith and then cut it last minute.
