Yakuza on sale literally a month after release, already Legion's second sale. Might want to note that Yakuza and Doom are future cross buy for when their PS5 versions launch

also Mega Man 11? Are we getting a Mega Man announcement

Is it worth getting the Hero or Legendary Hero edition of Yakuza? I looked up the basic details of the additional items but I'd like hear Era's opinion on it. The Legendary Hero edition is basically the original cost of the standard edition in this sale so I'm tempted

Is Arkham Knight worth $5?
I bought it at launch and was perfectly satisfied paying $60. I don't see how you could pay $5 and feel ripped off.

Like, unless you played and hated the previous games, I'd say it's definitely worth picking up just to try. It's kinda formulaic, and the batmobile sections are annoying, but on the whole it's a fantastic game, the culmination to an amazing series (so if you haven't played the rest it's a lot of polished gameplay that'll be fresh for you).

Oh, it's also open worldy, so if that's a turnoff maybe not. Bottom line, there would have to be specific reasons for you to think "this game is something I'd hate" for it to not be worth the price of a burrito. It's five bucks, for a Metacritic 87.

I might as well get Yakuza 7 now and wait for the PS5 update instead of having to pay $70 for the PS5 version itself.

I liked the first two games but couldn't get into Origins because it felt too samey and I was kinda over it at that point. It's been a few years though, so I might just give Knight a shot. Thanks!

Boooo AC Valhalla Gold isn't on sale, guess I'll wait. Cyberpunk will keep me plenty busy.

Origins is the worst in the series by a good margin. Knight doesn't quite hit the highs of Asylum and City and has too much Batmobile ā„¢ but is still a solid game and definitely worth the money. It's also a really beautiful game, the visuals hold up well.

I want to bite on Destiny and Borderlands to add to my next generation experience since I'm doing 2077 on PC.

Question about destiny 2: if I buy the beyond light, forsaken and shadow keep expansions, is that the same as just buying the legendary edition? Seems like a way to get all that content fairly cheap

Sheeeeit, guess I'm jumping back into Destiny. Looking forward to finally playing Forsaken! I played everything up through Warmind (and the Whisper of the Worm secret mission thing) but haven't touched it since, so all three expansions are going to be new to me.

I noticed last night that apparently Mars is completely gone? I didn't realize that was one of the locations that got axed. Glad I already played all the Escalation Protocol stuff. That shit was fun as hell.

I'm tempted to get Beyond Light, however, there are 3 versions. One of them says: "Beyond Light + Season". So...Do I get the full thing by buying the base expansion or no? What does the "Season" mean?

Lies and heresy. Best narrative in the series, excusing the one bad plot twist, and some creative boss fights. Also actual detective mode Batman, even if it's gimmicky but cool presentation. It's definitely not a game to replay right after City because of the reused assets. Plus fucking snow that deforms pretty well on PC if your rig can handle the physics.

Everybody always says "best narrative!" when at best it's slightly better than the other games. It's nothing special. That doesn't change that it has a half reused map, the weakest jankiest combat, the worst side content and was an absolutely buggy mess. Can't really cosign the bosses either. All I remember was Deathstroke having some cool animations that you had to watch about 20 times to beat him and chasing Firefley. None of them were as good as City's Mr Freeze, and Origins' Freeze battle was a shittier clone of that fight.

Like if you're only playing Batman games for the narrative, go play the Telltale entries instead.

All facts. Origin was amazing.

I'm still waiting for Pinball FX3 Williams Volume 5 to have a sale. It's been a full year already. Volume 6 is on sale though.

Dang I was really hoping base AC would be on sale. I guess I'll just wait and keep plugging away at Demon's Souls and Ghost of Tsushima.

What is with this garbage Store experience lately? I clicked on the FIFA 21 Champions and Beckham editions above to see what the differences are. The Beckham link has no game content on the page (I'm sure it's not Captain's fault), and the Champions Edition shows me a page with all of the game editions and their prices, with the add to cart options grayed out and none of them are available to purchase. And yes I'm signed in.

Sheepinator Yeah, it's very annoying when that happens. It's been like that since they launch the new store in October. Things they should've fixed since then. Especially the 'add to cart' button missing. I just give up and wait for another time to try again.

Is the $10 version with all the DLC and whatever worth it do you think?
Absolutely. That makes the DLC $5, which imo is well worth it for about 5-7 hours of gameplay with other characters and new side stories, plus a ton more challenges (not that I cared) and a lot more races (not that I cared). I think it has more skins too.

Like I said, 5-7 hours, and that's just the story and new characters. A completionist will get many more from the challenges and races. Not worth the original asking price of $40 I think it was for the season pass, I had no complaints at half price, and for $5 it's a bargain.

Bought Yakuza: Like a Dragon Quest.

Was waiting to see if it was going to go on sale digitally during Black Friday and it didn't, so it surprise me it did now. Weird how 13 Sentinel's sale isn't as much as it was a couple of weeks ago for Black Firday though.
