I still haven't played Ghost of Tsushima, TLOU2, Lost Legacy etc. I would've spent a ton on this sale, but with Sony being absolute scumbags and trying to double dip with next gen "remasters" like they're doing with Spider-Man, I'll just wait until PS5 versions and skip all of these.

The fact that Dark Souls 3 isn't on sale right now makes me think it will be one of October's PS Plus games.

I'm in the same place with Ghost of Tsushima. I figured I'd play it on PS5 this fall, but I feel like I'd better keep waiting and see where the dust settles on that.

I want to think that at least this year's first party games will get PS5 updates at launch, but I am waiting for confirmation of improvements to buy GOT. I am not holding my breath for significant updates in games older than a year or two.

Same. Have ignored Ghosts myself expecting to play it on PS5, and I guess there is no word on a potential upgrade yet...so guess I'll keep waiting.

Scumbags? Okay that's a bit much, I want them to announce what they are doing with ghosts and other games on ps5 but it's far from Scumbags.

From an information standpoint, we are 6 weeks from console launch.

More importantly, It's certainly something how you completely glossed over the greater concern of implementation/approach, which was the entire point of the post that you quoted.

As others have said, don't miss out on Ghost of Tsushima, it's amazing and more than worth it at that price. I picked up the Arkham collection so I can play it later for PS5 since that's a great price for those two games.

Glad to grab Ghosts at this price. I plan to play it on my PS4. If it gets an update on PS5, cool. At the least though I'll be able to play the PS4 version on PS5, with improved loading. Which is fine

I love DAI and had gotten the Goty disc edition for cheap 3 years ago on Black Friday basically for the dlc, like $10 (I had already bought the og game disc full price on launch), but I am now in the mood to buy the whole package as a digital version to forgo any disc entirely.
Lo and behold, just by having activated the dlc codes from a disc version, the PS store considers I already have the digital Goty edition, and I therefore cannot buy the discounted digital edition at $10.
Oh I can buy DAI Deluxe ed (base game)... But that one is (of course) not discounted, at $20 for much less content (no dlc).
Fuck that.

I'm in the same boat. I've been waiting for Tsushima to go on sale, but Sony hasn't done a good job at communicating about these games on PS5. That being said, I doubt GoT gets a full remaster like Spiderman did so it's probably safe to purchase it at this price...I hope they don't want me to buy again at full price for an upgrade.

I keep thinking back on my time with Ghost. It ain't perfect but it's a game that won't get out of my head. There's just something about it the whole package that really sank its teeth into me. So this is me wholeheartedly recommending it to anyone on the fence. Play this game, I don't think you'll regret it.

Question about Final Fantasy 14 Complete.

When you buy it does it instantly start your free month? Or does it not start until you boot it for the first time and log in?

Once you launch it you have to go through the process of creating a Square Enix account, so the free month won't start until you do that and register the game to it.
