I've never played the original Sin & Punishment but Star Successor is a GOAT, so that one

Oh yeah, I nearly forgot about online. Considering how available it is, I wonder if it's possible to actually developed healthy online scenes around stuff like Custom Robo. Has there been a good experience for competitive games elsewhere on these services?

I'll probably try it out once B-K hits the service; not in a rush right now. But also add Bomberman 64 and Chameleon Twist at some point please and thank you.

This will be my first time playing Ocarina of Time on a full-sized TV screen. Previously, it was for 3DS. While I'll miss the texture and QoL improvements, I'm stoked to see this on a screen it deserves.

Mariokart. Preferably online but I'm not so sure my few Switch online friends will buy the upgraded service. I legit can not wait for the nostalgia rush

Will upgrade once Banjo-Kazooie finally comes to the service.

Yeah, even if we were limited to rental teams, it would still be worth it -- the game was well-balanced around them. And the minigames!
I'd be happy with rental teams, since it'd give me an easy way to play Rental Rando.

I want to play Dr. Mario 64 and Winback since they're the only games in the service I haven't played. I also want to replay OoT.

FYI there's more third parties coming, they just didn't include them in the road map for the same reason genesis doesn't have one: they don't want to deal with advertising licensing fees

I want to get my hopes up for Ogre Battle 64, but don't want to be disappointed lol

I have the ownable release of Mario 64 on Switch, I've preferred the 3DS version of OoT and Starfix 64 for over a decade, and Mario Kart has had several superior entries since 64…

so, Sin & Punishment baybeeeeeee

I voted for Super Mario 64 like a mark, but in hindsight, I would say my vote is probably for Sin & Punishment. I never played it.

Same goes with Yoshi's Story.

If F-Zero X was gonna be available day one, that would be another top choice for me.

I'm surprised how many people chose Banjo, not because it isn't completely awesome, but because you can play an arguably much better version on Xbox. Isn't it basically 👏🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻 identical except in 4K and 60fps? I'm assuming portability and lack of having an Xbox aren't an issue though. So if portable Banjo is what you're after, I totally get it.

if only they had made a game worthy of this vibe
I adore the gameplay too. The controls are silky smooth with the 360° free aim and buoyant animations, and Yoshi feels so much more natural than in YI, probably because he's no longer a bulky trapezoidal silhouette like when he had to carry a baby. The looping level design -- where the fourth zone loops back to the first, and you can warp between them freely in search of the 30 fruit -- gives each course a nonlinear sandbox quality that hasn't been replicated in the series since. And the whole setup where the hidden hearts make more courses available but you only do six courses on each run (each with their own unique narration) incentivizes replays. It's so good. :-o

I really wonder how I'll enjoy it these days. YI was one of my favorite games when I was a kid, so when this one released I played the HELL out of it, to the point where I got every single color yoshi and every fruit, etc. I must have enjoyed it. Obviously now I read about how the game is a pile of garbage apparently and no one liked it, but I'm gonna play it when it hits NSO and see how it feels nowadays haha

Probably Yoshi's Story, but I'm waiting until they add a bunch more games to the service before I buy in.

I'm not going to speak for others - and I don't necessarily think this is even the case for me - but there's a range of other factors at play here that might include the controls/the controllers themselves, the fact that it's the game by itself without the Rare Replay around it.

When I first tried Perfect Dark on Xbox 360/XBLA I wanted to enjoy it but that was a purely personal case of 'I need my N64 controller for this' and the same is the case with a lot of N64 games. I just couldn't get to grips (heheh) with it.

When you free-fall in Yoshi's Story he spins his arms and goes "WABABABABABABA," you can't help but smile when this happens, in fact not smiling at Yoshi's Story is illegal on all seven continents

I had the 360 versions of BK and Tooie and they were great. But my 360 red ringed and I haven't owned an Xbox console since. I want to get one for BC but just haven't yet.

Ocarina of Time. I used to play it constantly when I was younger, haven't had I chance to play it for a good 10 years.

Then, yoshi's story because I was a huge fan of the game but I didn't own it.

And finally, Kiiiiiirby! I know it won't be there at launch, but I want it.

Darn poll limited my number of responses :(

I should have put it in place of Other though, ha.
Nah I'm not that serious haha. It's just the one game that I assume the majority of N64 fans have never actually touched. It was on the Wii VC and it's still on the Wii U eshop I'm guessing. Great game tho, one of the best on the system imo.

I ain't got an Xbox, so that would be my option. If we had Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and other games, I'd consider it an option.

I specifically keep my 360 as a Banjo system, but the portability is my main draw with NSO.

never had mario tennis or winback. would like to play both at some point. i have paper mario on the n64 and wii u vc so that might be a while though, as it's the only game in the upcoming lineup that could probably get me to check this thing out.

the only game that's there that i know i'd get is 4p online multiplayer mario kart 64. that's almost a killer app. if more people i know jump in, i'll definitely be there just for that.

Of those I'm most excited for F-Zero X. I absolutely loved it as a kid and enjoy it even more than GX (which I think no one would support me on).
Many people will agree on that. GX is fantastic but is a different thing, they play quite differently. X has a more direct handling engine, GX has more momentum. And I love X's 80s buttrock soundtrack.

as a massive Yoshi's Island fan, Yoshi's Story was the first true betrayal of my life
I played it after I finished Island as a kid, and I was confused as hell when I literally beat it in 5 mins. That was one of the biggest disappointments in my childhood. Sure it looked nice, but it feels like a tech demo showing off the N64's graphics than an actual game nowadays.

The annoying singing and unskippable story mode cutscenes when you complete a stage still grate on my nerves. Even the big melon quest isn't a great way to play when half of the levels have a lame mini-game where you gave to carry block across a finish line, and if you screw it up anywhere you have to start the entire level over.

Yoshi's Story is like Star Fox 64 where any given run only takes you through a fraction of the levels. You have to beat the game at least four times to unlock all 24 levels, and in my eyes those levels aren't truly complete until you get 30 melons on each (melons being the most valuable fruit, and limited to exactly 30 per course). And you can seek out those melons in Trial Mode, where there are no cutscenes to be skipped. There's a substantial game there.

You talk like if xboxes simply materialize at people's home xD

I never had one =/
