I wouldn't be surprised if Overhaul tries to offer Deku a deal in exchange for information on AFO/LoV.
I feel like some kind of quid-pro-quo is definitely what Overhaul is out for.

Gonna be real annoyed if the stinger flavor text is actually meant to be taken at face value and the sniper lady/Overhaul really were just lackeys sent by AFO.

Huh, so villain lady must be related to Momo with that Quirk. Interesting.

Overhaul, I'm willing to bet, is after Eri again and he knows that Deku is his ticket to getting to her. But this time, he just wants her to fix his boss since he can't do it with his own Quirk anymore.

This was so hype
mha public sucks
it seems the top 3 has the whole ofa situation sorted out, and it is nice to have a confirmation that AFO has no feelings so he can't hate and therefore cant break through OFA barriers
and the new villain design is so good she basically has an alternative version of Momo's quirk, I wonder if they are related

Maybe he's wrapping up MHA so fast because he wants to get into American comics
I'm telling you, if Marvel (or, hell, DC) doesn't walk right in Horikoshi's front door the moment the final MHA chapter ships to hand him a blank check on a book of his choosing, they're on something. Massive cross-promotional opportunity.

I don't think they're going to fight right now, seems more likely that they'll talk first, she could also end up having one of the top 3 as her opponent

true but even if her opponent isnt deku having a sniper villain is very hype, kinda reminds me of the spider guy from the rescue arc in naruto

The best part about Horikoshi's sketches is the villains ones he gonna do later, hopefully.

Gonna be awesome.

Not sure i like that. I personally think they are doing the whole Endeavour - Shoto Gag a bit too much

I should clarify the phone bit is in the manga, but the scene where he rescues the kids is anime only

Also for some reason they changed some of the details about the phone bit, in the manga Fuyumi gave Shoto's contact details to Endeavor with his permission, whereas here Shoto accepted Endeavors friend request on MHA Facebook or something? I dunno...

Anime really going out of its way to make each match multiple episodes
it is impossible to adapt this fight in one episode only, unless you make a 30 minute episode like re zero with no ops and endings
if you dont like the arc good for you, but they shouldnt just rush it because some people dont like it.
Like next episode will adapt 3 chapters and I bet people will still complain like this is OP anime levels of pacing despite it constantly adapting 2 chapters or more per episode
I can't blame them, the season has to be stretched to right before the war arc.
they arent even stretching it, they are adapting 2 chapters per episode but the chapters were short in the manga.

I was shocked to see how close he is to Horikoshis style. I thought it was him.

Today's episode was just 27 pages worth of content, I'm going to be pissed if they suddenly go back to adapting 3 chapters per episode for MVA while this arc that actually needed a fast paced adaptation got the slow down treatment

This episode had added scenes that I doubt will happen in mva, also next one will be 42 pages
That's weird. I recall the chapters being short but I figured they'd just have more chapters per episode, especially considering all the fighting.
There is no way they can fit the whole fight in one episode, the only fight they could do that was the momo one, but they didnt, shot fight has 69 pages.

like i get the complains about momo fight being 2 episodes but this one? it doesnt make sense, it was always going to be 2

The reality is that this arc is well beloved in Japan. The difference isn't big but they ain't gonna skimp through no matter how much people complain. They love the heroes/kids as do I.

We will have to be patient and hope for the best after this arc ends.

Have some fan art for listening to my shit:

Curious what percentage of viewers realized Endeavor was CG here.

Not entirely sure if he's entirely CG tho.

And MVA had a dip in the sales

But i doubt Horikoshi himself cares about that, it wasnt a secret that MVA would be controversial in japan considering the story of Jump and he still went through it

I don't doubt that those of us who dislike the arc are part of an online vocal minority, that's how it goes more often than not with these things, but I don't think the arc being beloved is any reason to go through it slower than normal. Just as they shouldn't have episodes that adapt less than 30 pages for the war arc just cause that's popular too. If anything, it's important to do the arc justice for those who like it by doing it right, and a slower than normal pace isn't the way to do it. Same as those JT volumes have more chapters in them to compensate for the shorter length of chapters and to keep the volume length and reading experience more or less the same, episodes should have more chapters in them to fill those 20 minutes more naturally.

I'd guess the pace they seem to be going at from what I've read isn't from them wanting to linger on a beloved arc but rather just the result of having a specific point in mind to end, and having to get there in exactly 25 episodes and nothing less because that's what the programming block it airs in seemingly demands.

Thank you. That is good fanart.
I'd reply with fanart myself for listening to my shit but when I tried searching on Twitter, I couldn't find any I liked and it yielded a weirdly high amount of porn so I gave up. Please understand.

The arc may be beloved in Japan, but it's still moving slow as molasses. There are some who seem to like it but the vibe I'm getting from the anime thread is that this arc feels kinda bland.

We know it'll pick up with the Bakustomp and the whole multiple quirk situation, but still, week by week it's been kinda dry. Animation has been good tho

Silfer oh trust me. I'm on the same mindset. Watched one episode and decided to stop till the arc is done. Just can't bear all the constant quirk reminders and slow paced rhythm knowing what we have right now in the manga. I know they are trying to hit the 12 or so episodes for the arc but it's also nice they aren't cutting scenes (even adding new ones) just to get through the next arc. Appreciate it.

Funny thing, the last arc I had difficulty watching was the Shiketsu one. They even added filler episodes too. I didn't have the same trouble with the Festival one, surprisingly. I guess I can't handle too much school fighting plus it's impossible to hate Gentle and La Brava.

As for the fan arts, yeah too many R18 for...underage kids :|

I will try my best to post the cool ones here.
