Miracle Mile (1988)
For some reason (probably because it looks like a traffic jam,) this reminds me of Falling Down, which is another that takes place over a single day.

Booksmart Has a small gap between stuff happening towards the end to account for sleeping but it's just a great film that had serious Linklater vibes.

Watch the Before trilogy if you haven't. My favorite trilogy of all time.

The Hangover.

I guess it's technically more than one day, but the bulk of it is centered around one day.

We don't talk about the shitty sequels.

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World

An epic comedy from '63 that goes on way longer than a comedy should. I think the idea was the movie pretty much takes place in realtime. (Including the 15+ minutes of break in theatres)

Quick Change (Bill Murray, bank robbery)

Run Lola Run, although I don't think it's really like American Graffiti or Dazed and Confused.

It's a great movie.

Although mans it's crazy how much of like 90s german aesthetic this is now. When I saw this in High school I thought it was the coolest shit I had ever seen, but now I watch this trailer and it seems like a parody.

Probably because it's been parodied so much

The song is still a banger, though.

After Hours was already mentioned so I will mention another "yuppie nightmare cycle" movie: Into the Night. Early Goldblum and Pfeiffer make it fun.
