You can still do Kulve on console, but anyone that owns Iceborne won't bother with it so finding that full lobby is probably a pain in the ass.

Im already endgame now, i was just wanting to run a couple missions and have a variety of weapons real quick.
Well i found the golden tracks, talked to dragon ball z man, and went to gathering hub but i dont see Seige as an option anymore.
Yeah, Kulve rotates in and out. She'll come back on the 9th and be available for a week or so.

The Kulve siege is not currently running. It'll be back on January 9.
Heard rumors of an MR version of a similar giant jagras/giant lavasioth quest, that will give decos? Any truth to it?

During the appreciation festival in late January, there's going to be another melding ticket (like the silver/gold ones we have right now) that you can exchange at the melder for good decorations, including the ultra-rare ones. But we don't know how you get those tickets yet, and it's not going to be as bountiful as the Jagras/Lavasioth quests were.
I'd say I have a lot more 4 slot Attack + something jewels than 1 slot attack jewels and this is from 3 months of Iceborne compared to almost 2 years of vanilla. Unless you mean there are 4 slot jewels that give two points for Attack (or even the Hard kind that may give 3 points).
Cool I just got a 1 slot attack jewel, now I have 4 with the three free ones.
If Capcom's willing to change deco drop rates (making Elemental Attack+ jewels drop more often) then I wish they could make the Sealed Feystones a bit more forgiving. At the very least, Sealed Feystones should only give you 4-slot decos. I should never see single skill Flinch Free or Poison Coating jewels after I kill a tempered T3.
Really, anything to make the grind more forgiving would be great. I've gotten all of the gold crowns for Ruiner, Velkhana, Goldian, and Blackveil and I still haven't seen a Challenger+ or Handicraft+ deco!

Can anyone tell me which one is the specific monster I need to kill for this week's limited researches? I'm super late on Iceborne, have barely played any of the new content yet, but I'm chasing after the Joyful Tickets :x

The monster for today's daily is scarred (i.e. tempered) Yian Garuga. There's an event for it that has a MR 24 limit.
Was watching Maximilian Dood's GOTY 2019 video and at one point he says about MHWI: "Every weapon in this game is a fighting game character."
It just makes so much sense to me. I already liked to compare the combat in MHW to fighting games in the way that you have to commit to every move you make. But from now on, whenever someone asks what MHW and its weapons are like, I'm going to use this sentence.

They're still pretty rare, but not as bad as it was in vanilla world. I've gotten a couple from silver melding tickets.
Yes I meant an Attack Jewel+ that gives you 2 points in Attack Boost not the combo ones.

I had a hilarious moment earlier while fighting Safi. He flew into the air to do his nuke attack while no rocks were around, but suddenly the stickies attached to his head exploded and he fell to the ground. When he got back up he created more rocks for us to hide behind. What a save.
Yea the 2 pointers are extremely rare. I even have tenderizer/vitality decks yet don't have handicraft+, Challenger+ or attack+
Strider scarf and pickaxe get. Still trying to do double rajang quest. Best run I did had one of them go down but someone carted when the second rajang somersaulted.
For PC, is it possible to copy someone elses save for yourself?
I'm probably going to get the PC version at some point soon but really don't want to have to run through everything yet again like I just did on Xbox. (My first playthrough was on PS4)
They really REALLY need some sort of save transfer or Monster Hunter Master Account system in future titles. Starting over from scratch is a huge pain in the ass and unskippable cutscenes sure don't help.

Slap on the Oolong armor set (crafted with regular joy tickets) and do the Duffel Duty event quest. Spawn at the shipwreck camp and there's a bunch of penguins there at the ship. The quest can be completed in like 15 seconds.
Don the event Oolong armor and join the SOS of a player with MR 0. A VIP ticket is almost guaranteed. Whether you want to spend the time for a bunch of tickets is a different matter. :P
Others have found that repeatedly doing the penguin event with Oolong armor yields similar results although it's a bit repetitive. At least the previous option gives you gold tickets as well but at this point you may have more of those than you need (I'm at 100).

There is an Appreciation Fest for the game's anniversary in late January that will bring new things.
We were told not to expect any new Witcher or Final Fantasy content, supposedly because they didn't renew the licensing agreement. But they might have lied or worked something out.
You can look at the FF and Witcher stuff on the upgrade tree and see that you can improve them. They need red tickets that aren't available yet (probably VIP Appreciation Tickets).
Only base game content that can't be upgraded seems to be the USJ Longsword.

I guess I missed that. However, it remains to be seen if we're getting actual G-rank Leshen and Behemoth, which was the original context of Capcom saying they didn't renew the licensing.
99% sure we aren't. The upgrades for the weapons all take the standard HR mats plus those red tickets.

Plot twist: the red tickets are from a quest where you have to fight Behemoth and Ancient Leshen at the same time
That's what I said on Saturday when I got Rotten, Volcanic, and Tundra to 7! Until I realized I need a Tempered Anja and that's only at Level 5 Forest... The grind never ends.

Yes, we're going to have this thread moved back to gaming side soon.
It's nice that they let you lower levels at will now but it would be super nice if once you got a region to 7 you were able to lower and raise the level with a slider.
I find purple sharpness in Iceborne to be a luxury, but yeah you need a sharpness mod VI plus a sharpness mod V to get a sliver of purple. Or you can just do one and get some sharpness through armour/decoration skills to add up to purple. The damage increase for purple isn't noticable imo but not worrying about bouncing off anything is kind of nice.
I made a build that uses protective polish and two sharpness mods but tbh I kind of just like rocking a bunch of white instead.

Apparently people mathed it out and there is basically no functional difference in total DPS if you use five attack mods versus four attack and a sharpness VI.

I took a long break from Iceborne after finishing up the the main story, many optional hunts and grinding Shara for armor and weapons.
I picked up the game again five days ago and I've been playing nothing but Iceborne during that time. I finished all the new event quests (crafted all the stuff) and caught up with all the new content. Great stuff!
Safi'jiiva is the best and most fun siege/large monster in MHW to date, imo. It doesn't take too long and doesn't have a lot of running around all over the place. It's just hunters versus Safi.
Now I have two maxed out awakened greatswords, a maxed out hammer and I'm working on a longsword. I think I have enough parts to craft the armor as well, but I need a couple of the rare parts from other monsters.

Same red tickets upgrade things like dante's charge blade, so i strongly doubt the monster collab's (The fights anyway) will return. It'll just be random red ticket quest. Unless it's a placeholder anyway. Ancient leshen needs to return to the bowels of hell from wence it came...
