I'm somewhat disappointed the Mets' front office reined in their horrible impulses. Bring excitement to the offseason, not leave it in darkness, etc etc.

For that you need people to accept the Dodgers' trade requests so they can sign Harper. And Machado will probably sign with Yankees unless they're gonna trade Didi tho.
1 WAR is worth about $11M give or take some standard deviation. It's not a bad deal at all. He's a 2-3 win #4 starter type now but if he can at least maintain the production from his tail end with the Reds they'll get value from it.
That's what it ends up costing not what teams are intentinally willing to pay for it
Matt Harvey seems like a guy who will eventually pitch for the Padres. But he's not quite yet washed up enough.
tom ricketts is trash and he has done nothing that should earn you any praise. he came in was conveniently able to slash payroll for several years because the team happened to need a rebuild. then theo fell into his lap (theo came to the cubs because of the opportunity it represented, not because of ricketts). the family has spent on free agents in recent years like they should, as they are obscenely rich. meanwhile, they've aired sickening trump and pro-kavanaugh ads during cubs games, and are reportedly now cheaping out on harper.
the ricketts are evil filth, and the only good things they've done for the cubs are basic things that should be expected from any rich owner as a bare minimum.
Hmm this has been a real interesting offseason. Better than last year/this year's by a long shot.
