The transit union for Minneapolis has released this official statement demanding justice for George Floyd and has put out a call for Americans to start a new Civil Rights Movement, "a Civil Rights Movement that is joined with the labor movement and independent of the corporate establishment's Political parties so that all workers from every religion, race and sexual identity can struggle together for a better future for people of color":

Yes, everyone can, should vote.

But it is so tone deaf to just say go vote when so much of the possible vote is suppressed, gerrymandered, and rigged by white conservatives and NIMBY liberals. Black people are the most consistent voters and nothing changes for them.

It going to take more than voting to get change. Protesting like this need to continue to hold the current elected official's feet to the fire. Cause right now, the system is rigged.

It's been far too long and it's time, this was long overdue. The push back is going to be insane so this is a fight that can't end with these protests.
