I would have preferred Twintelle but Min Min was my second choice, glad we have a female DLC character finally

It's kind of funny to me how an ARMS character made it in.

You see all of these characters coming from iconic, really popular or widely regarded as, at least, great titles... then you have ARMS LOL

Spain
From the moment she won the Party Crash I suspected it would be her.

I mean, doing a tournament to see which character was the most popular seemed to shout "Smash".

Is that really where we are now?

What's this gaslighting bullshit about MinMin not being PoC Rep?

Just say you wanted black Rep and are dissapointed, it is a valid statement.

She's Chinese though?
Minority = Asian
Extremely popular = Min Min tops popularity polls

Sorry but everything checks out in your criteria.
ain't she asian? but yeah we need more dark skinned characters
Apparently asian people are not minorities?

I mean hell this is the first primary female DLC character we've gotten. What the hell is wrong with you people?
Apologizes here guys I meant specially black not minority. Changed my statement. Apologies for any offense.

Minmin is not a minority?
Isn't Min Min the first Chinese character in Smash?
She's Chinese (or from the Arms Universe China)
Isn't min min the most popular though is she Asian or white?
Is Min Min not considered a minority?
She's Chinese though?
Isnt MinMin Asian tho?

Extremely popular = Min Min tops popularity polls

She has all the characteristics of white beauty standards: light-toned skin, green eyes and blond hair. It doesn't matter much that she's canonically chinese in the context of demanding diverse-looking characters, especially dark-skinned ones.

Wow, there are some ridiculously bad takes in this thread.

I'm a fan of both characters and am glad that a female POC has entered the game.

Shame on some of you.

I'm happy with this, although I never played ARMS, Min Min was my favorite design since it reminds me of Chie from Persona 4

Not when they are super common and black, amerindians, Arabs etc aren't
Fair enough
I sympathize with wanting Twintelle in, I think it would have been great for diversification of the roster. But Min Min is the most popular character in the game, and she's still a female rep (which is also important).

Nintendo got to market that game
This is a really shitty way to put it. Surely you can understand why some people wanted that representation finally right?
Its understandable but I don't think people should be dismissing another minority because of it. It has already shown that some people don't consider her a minority worth representing

Min Min is a cool character and I'm at least glad it's a woman.

But I'm disappointed it's not Twintelle. Nintendo had an opportunity to add a darker skinned character and missed it.
