Yeah that one was bugged for a while. I got one of the "specific" achievements. Didn't count. Waited a few days. Got all kinds of other achievements, and even a second "specific" achievement. It finally worked.
Well the actual specific achievement didn't work, so I got any old achievement and it worked :/
I've seen many posts here about people banking tons of points, is that the most economical way to get the best deals? I am only a few months into doing this and just do the $10 auto redeem each month.
I do the $25 gift card for 23000 pts.
It usually takes me about 6-8 weeks to earn that much.
you only get 90 days to spend any redeemed amounts, so for anyone wanting to save up towards something like an SSD or console it doesn't make sense to cash out their points yet. If you're someone who just wants that $10 discount or to put it towards DLC/MTX then yeah the auto renewal is good value.
I am good with game pass until 2024 so I have no reason to spend my points on anything at the moment. Saving up for a mid gen refresh or some other hardware probably.

Push the Xbox logo on your controller, go to the far right to Profile & system, scroll down and click Settings, scroll down to Account, go to the far right and click Payment & Billing, go to the far right and you should see the total amount that's in your account and below it you should see the MS gift card amount you redeemed with points and the expiration date.
Just saw this thread pop up again and figured I'd finally check out Microsoft Rewards. I've gotten some points from the activities page and from the Xbox Gamepass quests. But I can't for the life of me get points to trigger for Bing searches. Is there something I'm missing here?
Only unlocked one achievement this week. Valhalla is stingy, need to comb through my library.

Playing through Valhalla right now, as well. I'm around 15 hours in and have only unlocked 5 or 6 achievements.
I've been using Killer Instinct for my dailies.
I'm getting rather annoyed with how finnicky that achievement card is.

Celeste is also a good game for easy achievements, and it's on Game Pass. It's my emergency game if don't unlock achievements by Sunday or Monday.
i think people said act 1 chapter 3, but I started the game recently and idk how chapter selection works but Act 1 chapter 2 (escaping the college) is where I got mine bc it gives you the gun and you headshot the 3 dudes afterwards. I guess if you skip ahead to chapter 3 of that you don't have to do some cutscenes/slow walking before shooting
thanks for mentioning this. It had never worked for me, and the other specific ones seemed annoying to get. Theres an achievement for just launching Heartland in multiplayer, you dont even have to play. And that popped it for me.
Huh, apparently I got credit for the 2000 point surprise punch card even though I haven't bought anything in a while. Weird but neat.
I am logged in with my MS account, but unfortunately I'm still getting zero points for searches.
Getting the sense that the rewards for searches aren't available in The Netherlands. :/

They give more than enough weeklies to hit the Monthly goal without doing all of them. I just skip these if I'm not interested in the game.
It is on xCloud. Users on TrueAchievements are saying this and I just looked it up myself. Searched for "conan" and it came up immediately.

I think it's the best points to dollar conversion, but it's only $10 every month and you have to spend your money redeemed within 90 days. Better to save up for the big purchases otherwise.
Yeah, I followed the plan from the Reddit Microsoft Rewards page and it was easy. Basically just start a custom game, collect materials from whatever bushes you find (I needed to get four I believe) and then use the materials to craft the cheapest item you can.
That's my thought as well. It might be the best conversion rate, but then you are forced to buy something every 90 days before they expire... which I'm sure is the goal from MS. I just wait until I can get $25 (every 2-3 months) and then use that on something I was interested in buying anyways.
I usually spend SOMEthing on the xbox store once every three months. It's very very easy to do, and I also way exceed the auto redeem. So I'm still accruing points over time. So I'm doing both. You can get way more than the 8750 or whatever it is points for the auto redeem every month.
Oh yes, I get way more than the required points required for the auto-redeem. I just don't always spend money on the store that frequently so I just wait it out until I'm ready to buy something. Maybe I'm giving up a few points here and there, but it's all "free" money anyways.
I find if I launch a game from the app it doesn't always register the Mobile App task, but does give the Play Game Pass task. However, if I just launch the app while I'm on the console, it pops up right away (on the console).
Hmm, so I am like 99% certain I finished the July monthly punch card in time to nab the 2000 points but for some reason it never seems to have gone through. I wonder what gives.
The punch cards are busted as hell sometimes. The daily achievement one is like a 50/50 for me if it works.

I feel like it works maybe 20% of the time. it's buggy as hell for me.
I noticed it doesn't work if I get an achievement between midnight and 2 AM CEST.
So I try to validate it before midnight, or after 2 AM, but if I get an achievement between midnight and 2 AM, it won't get validated before 2 AM (and sometimes, never).
Yeah I've noticed that too, that's when I get most of my time to play 😑
I am completely lost right now about the weekly Xbox reward challenge, if I get to the 10 week streak, I should be getting 1,100 points per week right? or does it only give the bonus on the 10th week?

In the weekly challenge it'll show you the streak amounts where you get points, you don't get that much every week, I believe you get a larger amount at 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, etc capping at 2500 every 10 weeks when you hit 20 weeks iirc.
