She wants to enjoy all the benefits of having been a porn star without facing the reality that she was a porn star.

Also, the good news is that she got her boobs fixed. Remember how her boobs looked just like Sarah Huckabee Sanders' eyes? That's been corrected.

Gets famous for doing porn.

Uses said gained fame from porn to become a media celebrity and builds her brand.

You weren't famous before porn. It's what people know you for. She seems crazy?

How was the host supposed to introduce her if he couldn't mention the one thing she became famous for?

I get her frustration. Like, your opening question is about someone's breast implant being ruptured? What do you expect?

Yeah, I don't know what that was all about. That was a completely fair introduction. I remember her doing interviews in the past and she never seemed to have a problem with it.

It's about what I expect from a radio jockey.
Oh, totally. But if she went into the interview expecting not to be questioned by an aspiring Howard Stern shock-jock I can completely understand why his bullshit opening rings as nothing more than an attempt to diminish and ridicule her. And then he's baffled that she didn't giggle in falsetto and play along.

She consistently seems like a douchebag, in every media I see her in. Why people don't let her just fade away to obscurity is beyond me.

WTH is she talking about? She's ashamed as fuck of her past. I heard her parents and fam won't even talk to her to this day. Girl was actually middle class and whatnot before porn, but wanted to make it big. She did and she'll forever live with the fact that she did porn.

I also think she did porn for longer than 3 months so she should fact check herself.

Why is being in porn something to be ashamed of?
i guess because of the reactions?

I'm chill with it, she could be chill with it too, but she probably had a lot of people smirking about it, making snide comments when in actuality they probably just want to have sex with her too.

Umm, I'd say if you are bringing her on your show to talk about sports analysis, then bring her on based on the quality of her analysis. If that's not your intent, be upfront about how the point of bringing her on your show is to make a spectacle of her prior profession as an adult film actress. And if you feel her sports analysis is below average, then just don't bring her on and avoid all this. Is any of that unreasonable or complicated?

I thought this on first reaction abut after reading her tweet it appears that she was brought on - at least in part - to discuss her breast implant getting hit by a puck and needing to have surgery.

I just don't know how to listen to that guy's introduction and hear it as anything other than "Our guest used to act in pornographic videos. She does sports stuff now but she used to be filmed having sex. It's not every day you get to talk to someone who got paid money to have sex. And then her boob exploded. Anyway, hi Mia." I would hate being made a spectacle of on any show in which I'm supposed to be a guest.

-applies to Bonafide's question as well.

Yeah..... fair point.

Her argument on radio was to suggest that they shouldn't have referenced her porn career at all. I suspect she would have been more tolerant if they had been more kind.

She took a risk here, likely because there aren't that many media outlets that would actually entertain her. It backfired. No one should be surprised, though I do understand her reaction.

She got her breasts fixed? Small mercies.

And you know what? I'd mention something more about her if there was something more to discuss.

Look, when you were in adult film and call a radio station called The Bone...
WELCOME TO THE BONE ZONE

Iol, i fucking spat my drink.

Still, why cant she be happy that she was a beautiful porn actress and is a knowledgeable sports commentator? Does the sport industry demean her so much cause she rose in fame cause of porn? I do not know why knowing how to take a dick hampers your knowledge of analyzing sports.

it took sasha grey like a decade to move past being a "porn star" and even then she's the super rare exception that makes a transition from the industry. i'm guessing mia khalifa videos are still top trending on porn hub or whatever, hell i didn't even know she was 'retired' yet

gonna have to earn your stripes here, mia

im probably just talking for myself on this one. but i dont see a problem with the way they introduced her. she was a porn star, the only reason people know of her is that she was a pretty famous porn star. her having an issue with people knowing that and bringing it up is her problem, i could see if they had an agreement not to talk about it and he did it anyway but i dont think thats what happened.

tl;dr: stand on your square. if she had played it off and kept the discussion to sports she wouldnt look as crazy as she does now.

A ruptured breast implant is a pretty traumatic and potentially life threatening event. Was he expecting her to enjoy have a laugh about it to start the interview?

She ain't banging dudes on camera anymore but she still using her sexuality to stay relevant, which there is nothing wrong with, but she is is overreacting here.

She really is not known for more than her brief porn career right now, it took a while before Kim Kardashian sort of escaped the only famous for being fucked by Ray J

Just seems disrespectful to me in a context that clearly seems to indicate they brought her on to interview her as a sports analyst and not as a former adult film actress. I guess people just agree with that or they don't.

it's only disrespectful if you think being a porn star is a disgraceful job. her not being to come to terms with whatever demons she has with her past isnt the radio guys fault imo.

i could see it if they kept wanting to relentlessly refer back to it throughout the interview but nothing like that happened.

You're inserting your own words and getting too into your own feelings about what he actually said and thus you're making it appear way worse than what it actually was in the video.

While I do think the radio host needs work on introductions and while I also feel Mia overreacted, the real blame goes to the individuals who set up this interview behind the scenes. It should have been explicitly stated from either her agent or their PR person that she didn't want any mention of that part of her life. Instead, someone dropped the ball and both the radio host and Mia look like fools.

I can find being an adult film star to be a dignified job while recognizing that other people who talk about the profession don't agree that it is. If her past job was a CPA, her introduction would have been very different. The radio host has a fascination with her prior profession as a person who fucks people for money. Just replace every instance of him mentioning her adult film career with him mentioning that she used to be a CPA and tell me it wouldn't sound incredibly, incredibly weird.

What else is she known for? That one cooking show she did with her BF on Twitch? I'm genuinely confused lol. What would her title be at this point
