User Banned (2 Weeks): Consistent pattern of system warring; numerous accumulated infractions
As pointed out by Metacritic, the Xbox One had no positively reviewed exclusives that were truly exclusive to the console. In recent years, Microsoft has moved away from developing exclusive games for the Xbox One, instead releasing many of its titles on PC as well. While this move has likely been appreciated by PC gamers, others have criticized it as giving people little reason to actually buy an Xbox One over its competition.

I did a search and saw nothing about the article. It's an often avoided topic here but a discussion gaining momentum outside of Era.

"true exclusive"
as opposed to the false exclusives, the ones that misled you into thinking they're one but aren't

You've basically just created a thread to argue semantics about whether games released on PC are considered "exclusives"

"True exclusive" is some cherry picking bullshit for a clickbait headline. Why even give that nonsense attention?

People still don't realize Microsoft doesn't care if you play their games on PC or Xbox, only console warriors do.

Well it is right. They are on multiple platforms but that's what MS wants so I don't really see the issue.

Xbox doesn't have "true exclusives" anymore but this is a good thing and everybody using that as an argument against MS is an idiot.

Hasn't Microsoft basically tried to stop any 'true exclusives' from being on the platform?

They want games to be on both of the platforms that they own. So they're putting their effort on getting things on both, rather than limiting them to one.

Open this pointless comparison to XBOX/Win10 exclusives - and it suddenly becomes less stark. So, why bother making a thread about it?

The new reality of Xbox first-party ( read; exclusives ) is that they're a PC + Xbox company.

Any discussion that frames a perspective of Xbox exclusives and saying "it's not really exclusive because it's also on the PC" isn't really worth discussing at this point of time imo.
