Somewhere. I think.
Ouch that drop for Switch Hardware... quite the horrible week, nothing really sold well.

Fake edit: obviously this was expected (slowest week of the year, iirc?), but doesn't really make the numbers any better.

Wow, this is quite possibly the most boring week I've seen since I started following MediaCreate in 2017.

When do the Let's Go bundles go on sale or did they start before the week ended? Would explain the Switch drop if folks are waiting for that.

Huh, just noticed Switch is the only console to drop this week, and by a significant amount. Meanwhile Software is still selling (evergreen saw increase this week). Quite strange.

I think it's the previous week that's generally the slowest, isn't it? Everything else dropped back then. The Switch just held pretty much steady for an extra week and has now dropped in line with the rest.

The Nintendo Switch is about to get launched into the fucking stratosphere in terms of sales for the next 7 months. We've had our 5 months of relative quiet (despite still higher sales than last year), and the wild ride of giant releases is about to begin.

Really cannot wait to see how the Switch capitalizes on a ludicrous release schedule for the final half of the year, and how the market reacts.

Origins Collection opened worse than Revelations Collection 1,5 year ago.

The power of Capcom.

How big of a splash are we expecting Mario maker 2 to make in Japan?

Iirc the Wii u version debuted with 150k, sold like just some over a million units Lifetime in Japan.. so something similar?

Like I'm not expecting the game to hit Smash/ Splatoon level but will it even reach 2 million lifetime ?

Probably that, yup, it did get a bump during SMM2 Direct week. It's just weird to see that one console drop when every other one is just flat.

Yeah, this week highlights that the SMM2 Direct actually helped hardware sales. Hopefully we'll see hardware increases soon, in preparation of the new software releases (IIRC we've witnessed such phenomenon in the past).

I wonder if the Sword + Shield Direct will have a similar impact. Might perhaps be dependent on how close the release date is; the Mario Maker direct was somewhat aided by the fact that it was covering a game that was due to be released within a month.

The dog days of summer. Is the Switch dip organic or planned?

Also can anyone tell if paid online is still hurting Splatoon sales or are kids getting finding ways to get it.

Frankly its absurd that Nintendo has been able to get away with this first half lineup like it has.

Slow sales in May as usual. Looking to see things take off when the Nintendo games start pouring out. Sony's Days of Play should also get PS4 above 10k at least.
