About as dumb as risking your life as a vigilante dressed like a bat.
My guess is the reason this has been largely absent from live action adaptattions is that it looks like shit/too goofy.
The illuminated look was fine in BvS though

I was being glib. I love the idea of gadgets as the emblem, I am less enthused on the idea that it could be this blatant.
It does to appear to have a guns hammer on the left part of the bat symbol and not the right. At the very least it's not the same on both sides
It's symmetrical. A little point was just broken off on his left side, that is still there on his right covering up the piece you are talking about.

His eyes look a little huge, which I'm not sure I love but I cannot wait to see it in action. CANNOT WAIT.
You know, they could get away with the white eyes like Spider-Man and just hand wave it away as Bruce is paranoid and doesn't want to be identified by some IRIS scanner.
It's also the color of the shooting logo so I'm assuming it has some significance in the film.
if they actually fucking do that I'd love this movie forever.
