Don't you play with our emotions Shinobi!
I can see them including the multiplayer. It made EA big bucks back then and would probably make even more now. I can see them doubling down on that.I think Multiplayer HAS to be included. They don't need to touch up anything with it other than a couple bug fixes. Honestly if MP is excluded I'm going to be extremely disappointed. It's a big reason why I want a remaster in the first place.
I mean, the trilogy hasn't been announced yet, of course there is no footage.I'm super feeling another full playthrough, so I'm excited, but lack of any footage is a worry, so will definitely wait and see (probably wait on a sale regardless though. ME1 being a full remake is probably the only way I don't).
It not even being announced yet despite releasing soon is a reason to wait and see in itself. Though was pleasantly surprised by Mafia, which is releasing soon too.I can see them including the multiplayer. It made EA big bucks back then and would probably make even more now. Ideal middle ground would be outsourced with supervision from Bioware to provide feedback and help keep things like the art direction consistent.I'm curious if Bioware is doing the remaster or if they're outsourcing it.
A whole Gigabyte will be dedicated to keeping the performance smooth during the holstering animation, as well as providing multiple variations of holstering. They should add a fast forward button like all the Final Fantasy remasters.
For the first game at least.
Also do the consoles have enough ram now to let you holster your weapon.
Lol. While I expect the bare minimum, I went NUTS a few years ago here talking about all the tiny QoL things a loving remaster could do. It's such a simple thing, but holstering your weapon would be appreciated greatly. They should add a fast forward button like all the Final Fantasy remasters.

Correct. It's in the threadmark update. Shinobi posted shortly after and I think it's a solid lock-on now.a few people on the ME subreddit have said that their preorders have been updated to the 30th of October
It makes sense, though. It's a remaster, they're not going to invest tons o money on marketing for it, so it's best to announce it closer to release. It not even being announced yet despite releasing soon is a reason to wait and see in itself. It's just gonna be a question of whether this'll be worth getting if you already have the PC versions.
Bingo.
Best case scenario = BioWare or whatever is working on the port has combed over UE3, updated it to more modern builds, and spruced up as many assets as reasonable to result in a trilogy built on the original's foundations but does look inherently better (as a remaster, rather than a remake) beyond just framerate and resolution.
Worst case scenario = It's a more-or-less quick and dirty warts and all trilogy port marketed with high framerate and resolution on Xbox One / PlayStation 4 with little in the ways of enhancements or features that are of any significance to PC gamers.
"Supports 4K and locked 60fps" or whatever is literally meaningless for the PC crowd. I can already do that with the trilogy and force a bunch of features (like ambient occlusions, customer HD texture packs) that they don't have.
This is kinda what that outsource studio did with Burnout Paradise.Bingo.

Probably.so a 2022 release date for switch, like how Burnout Paradise was 2 years late?
Probably.
But at that point they might as well do it for Switch 2.
considering peeps said that it's coming to switch, best they'll do is say "it's enhanced on Switch 2"Probably.

That's not the worst case scenario at all I'd say! Worst case scenario is a remaster that looks worse than the original games and has more bugs. We've seen plenty of remasters like that.
I just want something beyond what you can get with mods. As awesome as the mods for PC are, they have their limitations, and that's where the remaster has to deliver. I wouldn't mind if someone made a 40gb texture pack that are more high res than the remaster, as long as it deliver in other areas.

A more dramatic example would be Saints Row The Third which got new PBR lighting and everything.
50/50
Absolute worst case scenario: they decide porting ME1 isn't worth the effort and just include the Genesis comic thing. That's not the worst case scenario at all I'd say! I'm honestly more worried the PC release might get rid of the original PC UI entirely in favor of controller support with the console UI.I can't wait for the PC version to still not have controller support lol
