Same here. Started ME1 once but never more than 2h or so. So really looking forward to this.I've never played a Mass Effect game besides Andromeda (which I didn't finish), i'm ready for this.

???You might be right about needing something from the previous games, but I can't see much of anyone who was a fan of the series not having at least one or two "good" saves prior, and for those who didn't have what they needed, they could always just either use a save editor on PC, or get someone else's save on the consoles.
Didn't we have a rumour talking about march? It's happening!!!
How long usually does it take for a game to release after the first ratings?
Mass Effect 1 is pretty much up there as one of my favourite games, think I have finished it 6 times.
Really interested (and a little nervous) to see what they have done with it.
But then we couldn't do stuff like this!If ME1 is a remake: removing the mako in favor of something more like the other games would be an upgrade or downgrade?
(I am kind of hoping they do it to keep a more uniform experience)
Yep. Though Jeff Grubb did also say the announcement would be early 2021 as well, so we might still be a ways off, despite the rating.
Not March, just "early 2021".
Oh, that was the one, wonder where I got "March" from 😄Yep. Though Jeff Grubb did also say the announcement would be early 2021 as well, so we might still be a ways off, despite the rating.

I mean, that's also early 2021, so it's fair lol
Wonder how those ME1 elevator rides will work with the next gen SSDs.

It will probably run the length of the conversation and once it's finished load into the next area.Wonder how those ME1 elevator rides will work with the next gen SSDs.
I don't know about that. I doubt they will just stand idly by come N7 Day. Would be a missed opportunity IMO.Yep. Though Jeff Grubb did also say the announcement would be early 2021 as well, so we might still be a ways off, despite the rating.
ME2 and ME3 seem like they'll be straight remasters. ME1 is apparently getting tweaked somewhat, so we'll have to wait and see with that one.
For many, multiplayer was just fun. I didn't play it because I felt compelled to, I played it because I genuinely enjoyed it. Great class design and interesting maps. I still play it to this day. I agree, however, Andromeda's multiplayer left a lot to be desired.Mass Effect 3's multiplayer was designed so people either spent hundreds of hours to unlock stuff or thousands of dollars. It was more GaaSed up than the biggest gas guzzler on the road. It's likely with a complete progress reset a lot of Mass Effect 3 multiplayer fans wouldn't have anywhere near the same experience(all your favourite classes will be behind massive unlocks with time or money in a 8 years old game). And as seen with Mass Effect Andromeda's multiplayer there is nothing but a path with more and more unlocks and GaaS gating.
I think about this all the time, genuinely saddening to think I cant experience it for the first time againYou're so lucky, I wish I forget the whole story to discover it again
I hope you're right, I'm honestly dying to at least see this remaster.I don't know about that. I doubt they will just stand idly by come N7 Day. Would be a missed opportunity IMO.
There was a leak which said the Legendary Edition omitted multiplayer :(How are you salty when we know nothing about what the package contains? Or did I miss something?
