Mass Effect Legendary Edition PC version appears on the MS store

I wonder if December 14th might be a realistic date. Early enough for MS to tout it and potentially move a few more GP subs for X-Mas and that would have given it 7 months of being on the market prior to hitting GP.
If it's coming in December I suspect that there's a shoutout about it at TGAs as it'd be a fairly big title to hit GP. Maybe couple that with a tease of the future ME?

Doesn't really make sense when EA stuff isn't on the store and you have to go through EA desktop to play them...?
Mass Effect Legendary Edition is one of those game that it's worth to buy at full price. There are so many awful remasters out there, it's good that the best trilogy of them all got the work it deserved.
I had the best december of my gaming life when the trilogy came out on PS3 with the mass effect 1 port. I want to relive it.

They still appear and can be "launched" from the Xbox app, assuming you have EA's launcher also up in the background.

I think it's this. I remember wondering this same thing after seeing windows store entries for EA games like this right before EA play came to game pass for PC, but they ended up going through the EA desktop app. If you search for Mass Effect Legendary in the windows store right now, all that comes up is the xbox version. I think they have hidden entries for these games to make the backend stuff work & so they'll show up right in the game pass PC app.
Welp, that makes sense. EA Desktop continues not to though. Wasn't that supposed to replace Origin? Yet new games arrive and get marketed as Origin games with no mention of EA Desktop. Very weird.
Yeah, this could have been bad. I'm grateful it turned out as well as it did. I get that folks are bummed over no ME3 multiplayer (I'm "lucky" in that I never really cared for it) but otherwise, golden.
You don't get achievements? I just started using the xbox app for PC and I got achievements for Halo.
Doesn't it launch through the xbox app? That's disappointing that you don't get achievements, thought that was the point of the xbox app on PC to stay in the ecosystem.
yes, they're normal xbox games. The EA Play on PC situation is different because they don't actually use the microsoft store/xbox infrastructure. Instead it directs you to EA's desktop client. It's kind of janky but there are benefits - EA Play on Game Pass for PC actually gives you access to the full library of EA Play games, the same as if you subscribed through EA directly, instead of the more limited library that you get with EA Play on console or through Steam

I ended up cancelling my pre-order at the time b/c I figured I could just play it on gamepass within a year. Glad I did that.
Yes. It would be really odd if they put Legendary Edition on PC and Xbox but not PS4. Although anything can happen, really; Crysis Remastered is available on EA Play for PC but not for consoles.
